Opposite Port-en-Bessin's fishing port, the hotel's location means guests can enjoy this typical French village. Restaurants within walking distance. An ideal starting point on the maritime cycling route. We are only 6 miles from various D-Day sites such as Omaha Beach, Colleville's American Cemetery and Pointe du Hoc. The medieval streets of Bayeux, its cathedral and famous tapestry are 5 miles away.

Our establishment does not have a restaurant but a bar, reserved for hotel guests, open until 1 a.m. Our breakfast, served as an all-you-can-eat buffet, offers a wide choice of cold and hot products, including eggs and bacon. We selected this hotel over another primarily because of the positive comments from other travellers, and were not disappointed. The hotel staff were all excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. We found the hotel and bedroom to be clean and tidy Excellent breakfast, with both hot and cold food provided. We also opted for a room that had a balcony as this had great views over the port. The hotel is located only a short walk from the many restaurants. The hotel also offers snacks and pizzas should people wish these. There is also a bar. Excellent location is you are planning to visit the D Day beaches. There is also a memorial to Capt Cousins a short walk up the zigzag path behind the hotel that is well worth a visit.

Enjoyable visit

We visited this hotel as part of a Brittany Ferries package. Our room was very comfortable the hotel clean and modern and all the staff friendly and helpful. Without the Brittany Ferries promotion, we would not have found this place and would have missed out on a really enjoyable few days. The hotel breakfast is plentiful and Port en Bessin a charming small working fishing port, with plenty of places to eat. I don’t understand the negative comments about the hotel car park, it is clearly signposted, with easy access to the hotel - I consider it an asset to the hotel. We plan to return!
