ibis Antananarivo Ankorondrano 3 yıldız

We spent our mandatory quarantine and later, much of our stay at the Ibis. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The highlights, however, are the fantastic restaurant, patio and most importantly, the staff. The whole team at the Ibis was fantastic. The servers at the restaurant are the best. They are personable and willing to help whenever they can. Excellent hotel!

I have stayed at this Ibis 3 times and I can definitely say it's predictable and well maintained which isn't always the case for hotels in Madagascar. No, it's not the greatest hotel in the city. But I think the restaurant is great, the staff is attentive and reliable, the location is quite good and, again, it is very well maintained.

3 day business trip. Room is decent, very clean, and up to standard. Front desk staff are incredible and very accommodating. I cannot say the same about the hotel restaurant (Amy’s Spot). Has to be the worse service ever experienced (manly their staff) for both breakfast and dinner. 2/3 nights I ate dinner, I was the only person and it took 20min for bottle of water with ice. I physically had to walk and find a waiter to request my order (all 3 times) and 2/3 times they got it wrong. The second evening the waiter even mentioned they just did take my order and to reorder. Nightmare. The attitude of the waiters and waitresses are not the best. No apologies or anything. It’s unfortunate given the food is half way decent. Looking forward to The Novotel when it reopens for my next business trip.

The best part of this hotel was the restaurant. The food was amazing. Best I had on my entire trip. I wasn't hesitant on ordering the Zebu carpaccio. I am glad I did. It was just as good or better than anything I could order at a high end steakhouse in North America. The noodle soup was excellent and full of flavor. The shrimp was fresh and delicious. I would rate the restaurant six stars alone. The hotel room was nice. It was clean, fresh and modern. Excellent view of the city on the sixth floor. The room was quiet. Each room had it's own wifi signal/password so the wifi was excellent. The price was decent. The staff spoke excellent english throughout. The only drawback of this hotel which prevents me from giving it five stars was the air conditioning. The room was a bit warm for the two days i stayed there. No matter how low I turned the thermostat it was still warm in the room. Not sweltering, but a bit uncomfortable. However I would definitely stay here again if I was in Tana.

Stayed at the Ibis again for a short business trip. Good service and helpful staff. Also, more accessible for airport than the hotels in town Center as traffic in Tana can be awful, especially on a Friday night. Mauritian chef in the restaurant. Fairly decent zebu steak. Prawn curry ok. Downside is service at restaurant is very very slow.
