At ibis budget Newport hotel, the comfy rooms are as bright and welcoming as the staff. Business and leisure travellers alike love our hassle-free service, like the 24-hour reception and self-service check-in option, as well as the free, fast Wi-Fi. Our Go Green certification ensures your stay is sustainable. If you're travelling with a pet, your furry friend is welcome with advance notice. At breakfast, fill up on light, healthy bites before exploring sights like 17th-century Tredegar House nearby.

We're just off the M4, with easy access to Cardiff and Bristol. Shops, dining and Newport Market are a 10-minute drive away in the city centre. Other close attractions include Caerleon Roman Baths and Newport Stadium, where you can watch or play sport. To get outdoors, play a round of golf on one of three scenic courses at Celtic Manor Resort, or go birdwatching at Newport Wetlands RSPB reserve along the Bristol Channel. Just five minutes from our hotel, stroll along the green banks of the River Usk.

Our hotel is 20 minutes by bus from Newport station, the city's main rail hub. There's a bus stop five minutes' walk from the hotel, then it's just six minutes to the city. We're two minutes from the M4 and 35 minutes by car from Cardiff Airport.

Not a great experience. But served its purpose of having a room overnight.

Wasn't a great experience. Lift hadn't been working for 3 weeks, so carrying all our gear wasn't fun. We asked 3 times for shower gel. Eventually was handed some at the desk. Air con didn't cool room down, just warm air. Housekeeper didn't service room. We didn't have any cups replaced, had to go down to getcups in the morning. Luckily by then the lift was repaired. On a positive the staff were very polite. Guy on the desk was more than happy to help get us into room when key was playing up. Bed was comfy.

Oh ny goodness. Just dont!! Far better hotels near by and cheaper. I stay in alot of hotels around the country and abroad. But this is just BAD. Pics looks good but i swear, its like a prison. Ive never in my life stayed anywhere like it. The surrounding area is run down and bleak but thats ok. The carpark was rough, but thats ok!! The entrance was dull and unattractive, mainly due to lights being out. The lady on check in looked a little un presentable, but her customer service skilled were friendly, helpful and informative. We got the lift to the 1st floor and the corridors smelt of weed, the carpet was worn and the whole atmosphere was overwhelming. We entered the room and wood chip walls, lights broken, dust and oldness everywhere. The shower in the main room so no privacy. No carpets and the floor was freezing. We wacked the heating up and kept it on all night, but its so niosy. One pillow each and it was full of hairs inside the case. We asked for 2 more and were given new ones by the helpful make receptionist. Not enough plugs around the room. No mirror at the desk. No hair dryer. Toilet was a small cold cupical. No loo brush but i most places dont these days. Wood chips walls dirty, floor dirty, skirting boards dusty and the kids bed had marks all over it. I darnt look at the state of the matress. The kettle was descaled well. I think the cleaners do wonders in the short time they have. The place needs a total refurbish. Absolutely horrid, dank and dated. Its an insult.to charge people to stay there. In the morning we had to wait ages for hot water in the shower . The towels were old, so hard and course plus discoloured . We were right on the motorway but the windows blocked out any road noise. The hotel is bad, the staff are great. Free parking and wifi. Wont return and wished i hadnt stayed.
