Such a shame but terrible

Tbh the only plus to this hotel is the location, amazingly everything is within walking distance. You have the restaurants, beach and cafes. The rooms well, the bathroom look like a student bedsit kinda thing, light shades hanging sideways and broken sink that took 5 days to get fixed (brush teeth in shower to not keep dirty water left in sink). The swimming pool amazingly was dirty and shut throughout my stay, even the entry door had no handle to tell people like me it’s not in use. Real shame tbh.

Avoid this hotel unless you like sleeping in the street of the Africa after paying your hotel expenses

I booked 2 twins bed room of this awful hotel for 14 -16 Aug 2025 via Accor Hotel website with my ALL Plus Ibis status on 8 Jul 2025. When I arrive the hotel at 17:00 on 14 Aug, they said my family (2 adults with two kids) and and my friend’s family (1 adult with three kids) could not get the rooms we paid JUST BECAUSE the hotel policy didn’t accept room with 4 people or above. The front desk staff, with very rude attitude, recommended us to book the third room. Though we told him no adult can accompany the kids in the third room, we said we accepted the offer because the trip from Spain to Tangier just made us very tired. However, the front desk staff said the third room can only be the one bed room due to room shortage. We cannot accept because of gender composition of two families. The frontline staff subsequently insisted we cannot get the room keys and told us we have not paid for the room. I didn’t match with my record in the booking confirmation email, Accor hotel website and my bank statement. To avoid double payment, two families have no choice but to cancel the booking and reserve another hotel. However, the front desk staff did not grantee to make a refund for me. What a nightmare experience for being an ALL Accor Ibis Card member. Thank you for teaching me the Booking confirmation email said “confirm and paid” is not paid. The holiday mood of two families got damaged.

We wanted to inform you that during your initial reservation, you had booked two double rooms for four people, Upon your arrival at the hotel, there were 8 people and we explained to you that the bedding in the rooms cannot accommodate more than 2 people per room. We tried to find a solution to accommodate the 8 people by offering you an additional room and you accepted, but unfortunately you insisted that the room must be with two separate beds, something that was not available. In the end, you requested the cancellation of the reservation and a refund, and we accepted your request confirming that the payment has not been executed. It is also a standard Ibis configuration but with better staff. They allowed us to get hot water from the bar and restaurant easily and also provided us with water to fill our water bottles, unlike the rude staff at Rabat Ibis. It is about a 10 minute walk away from the station and just behind the Hilton Hotel. It is comfortable , clean and we had no issues with checking in. There was also a safe in the room. As usual, like all Ibis red hotels, the rooms are small and minimalistic. Just to add that they need to provide hand towels and not just bath towels, and better quality bath towels unsteady of the paper thin ones we were given. But I like the combined body soap and shampoo dispenser in the bathroom. Many restaurants nearby so we didn't have food at the hotel.

Great for over night stay.., value for money

I am currently in Morocco on business and started my journey in Marrakech and had to come to Tangiers for business only to realise I would need to stay overnight despite the fact I was already booked at the Ibis Palmerie, Marrakech and due to checkout tomorrow. The staff at reception were extremely accommodating to point they arranged a late check out in Marrakech and booked me in promptly and gave me great customer service and I must add the food I ordered grilled beef steak with fries , vegetables and sautéed potatoes where a joy after a long day!! Most of all the room rates are reasonable!! I highly recommend for overnight stay

A great stay! The room is clean, but most importantly, the staff is well-trained, courteous, and professional in their interactions with clients. The breakfast was good. You can have traditional Moroccan breakfast , an intercontinental breakfast, and a selection of French viennoiseries.
