It had Fabulous location, spotless clean, very comfortable beds. Easy after hours check in .Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Brilliant start to our holiday. Our only regret is not staying longer. Pool was lovely even in the pouring rain

A brilliant apartment accomodation complex. The room was incredibly spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The swim up aspect of the apartment was excellent for our children to maximise their time in the pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Thanks a lot for an awesome stay!

Disgusted with their cancellation policy - especially during a cyclone

Let me advise all future travellers to be extremely weary about booking your accommodation at Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay. I happened to book a better rate with this hotel by choosing their no cancellation discounted rate - which was fine as I had no intention of cancelling. However, cyclone Alfred hit the Gold Coast (which is where I live) and despite authorities, etc stating how we were to remain indoors and not drive anywhere, this hotel refused offering me a refund because I had chosen their "no refund rate". They had no intention of refunding me - i.e. come and stay with us or don't - no refund what so ever. I was absolutely disgusted that they would expect me to drive through a cyclone to get to Hervey Bay - you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Let me also add that 30 minutes into driving from my home to Hervey Bay, they rang and advised that the cyclone was passing through Hervey Bay and that I should consult road outages, etc before continuing on to Hervey Bay. It was only 10 minutes after that call that they rang back and told me that water was getting into the Hotel and they were willing to offer me a full refund. You guys would rather endanger the lives of your customers than be reasonable and offer a discount due to exceptional circumstances such as a "CYCLONE". I hope potential customers read this review and stay elsewhere. I have never dealt with such an unreasonable, rude, uncaring Hotel Management in my entire life.

Lovely apartment, well equipped. Nice restaurant on site. Pool is great, though it was very quiet in late Jan. Underground car park with good access. Sea view is a stretch as the prom is tree lined. Helpful desk staff. A bit over the top on the rules, empty the bins etc but it was easy enough.. washer and dryer in the apartment was handy as it never stopped raining in 2 night stay in Jan.

Creo que son los apartamentos más increíbles en los que me he alojado: espaciosos, con una cocina increíble, cama tremenda, baños de lujo. En definitiva, un auténtico lujo de estancia. Pero como digo en el título, no todo es perfecto: la atención de la señora encargada de los mismos fue insuficiente: seca, sin ganas, en ningún caso al nivel de su alojamiento. En cuanto a la situación: simplemente un diez. Ya sabes, es un punto de partida casi perfecto para tu excursión a Fraser Island.
