Unfulfilled potential of the hotel

I'll summarize the facts. There was a problem when booking the hotel because the Play and Fly package was available in the app, unfortunately due to technical reasons it couldn't be booked through the app. The second misunderstanding was in the standby offer delivered a week before arriving at the hotel, the offer stated that it was the price for breakfast per stay. However, the receptionist claimed that it was per person and stay, which is annoying because we received a similar offer in another hotel and it was valid there. Another inconvenience was when we requested a smoking room, we were mistakenly given a non-smoking room, and it was changed after we called the reception. During our stay, the elevator keys stopped working. /rooms/ we were told at the reception that we were not supposed to carry them in our wallets or on our mobile phones, in hundreds of other hotels this was not a problem. This hotel has the potential to be a great place for a fair price, but the unprofessionalism and inconsistency make it a place we probably won't visit again.

My stay at ibis Al Rigga, Dubai, was absolutely amazing! The room size was fantastic, offering great comfort. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from the front office staff, especially Mr. Syed a Pakistani gentleman, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. His professionalism and hospitality were truly commendable. I highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Unpleasant and Unconfortable

Stayed there for three nights stopover on my way back from southeastern Asia. Being the last weekend before Ramadan, I paid one third over the regular rate for the season. Reception staff insisted to cash in the municipality/tourist tax immediately at check-in. Asked them to let me go to the room first and pay later as I carried some local currency in my baggage. They insisted to be paid on the spot. Gave them the credit card details and got the key. Very unpleasant welcome. On the other hand staff was pretty accommodating. They paid attention to my requests concerning the room. Weird pungent room odour, though at first glance it smelled of cleaning products. The floor carpet was old and stained, and probably a source of unpleasant odour. Bathroom was cramped, however clean and the installations worked splendidly. On the whole I didn’t feel confortable due to the smelly room and old carpeted floor. Notwithstanding that I hadn’t any breakfast there, I walked around their breakfast buffet and food looked fresh and smelled enticing. The hotel is located in the middle of Deira, that is old town, close to the Al-Riqqa Metro Station.
