Great base to explore Chrustchurch

Stayed 2 nights. The hotel was clean and smart and perfectly placed to look around the city. We got an upgrade - that never happens. The views over the city were superb - we had a couple of spectacular sunrises. The staff were friendly, the breakfast fine.

Centrally located, this hotel has almost everything. Great views, comfortable rooms, free minibar for executive floors. The only minor criticism is the decor is tired and the shower is small in the executive room. Doesn’t detract from the overall experience though

We arrived in Christchurch after an overnight flight from San Francisco. We were picked up at the airport and arrived at our hotel around lunch. We had to wait for the room to be ready so we had lunch in the hotel restaurant. The location is right downtown and close to the trolley. Breakfast was also available each morning which made for a nice start to the day.

Overall a lovely stay - thank you Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square!

Great stay at this hotel. Lovely room and some fantastically helpful and accommodating staff members including Bella on the front desk and Hendy behind the first floor bar. Thank you both for making our stay extra special 🙏🏻 Just a wee bit of constructive criticism about the breakfast - could be better staffed as they were extremely busy and couldn’t keep on top of stocking things up e.g. teaspoons, white bread, and operating the egg station etc.

This hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the convention centre. It was quiet and clean. It caters for the budget minded traveller. There were no extras - ie. no amenity kits or slippers etc. Bathroom was very small but the hotel room itself was a good size. Check in staff were very helpful and friendly. Gym was basic without any windows. Breakfast was good but again minimalistic. Barista coffee was extra. Overall, it is all you need for a comfortable stay if you are attending a conference next door.
