2 nights for a quick visit to Liverpool. The hotel is ideally located for Liverpool One with the hustle and bustle night life. Restaurants and bars in abundance. Very close to Albert Dock approx 10 min walk. Shopping malls close by if needed. Hotel rooms very good size all accessible via lifts, no ground floor rooms. We opted for 2 x single beds although they seemed to be 3/4 size which was great. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. My only disappointment was breakfast. The cooked breakfast was self serve however it was set on a cold serving unit, the food ended up being warm only. Again the staff said they could heat the food but you had already eaten some of it. The chefs will provide other items which are not on the menu, like poached eggs etc. All in all very good value for money in a clean and smart hotel located in the heart of the tourist area.

Good location but dirty and not very friendly

When you enter the hotel, you‘re welcomed by a wonderful smell of chlorine. It goes downhill from there.,. The rooms are not exactly clean, and there is no toilet brush or a sink in the toilet (no great for people with normal hygiene standards). It takes several swipes of your room card for the elevator to finally move so take the stairs of you‘re in a hurry. The staff are not particularly friendly. The rooms don’t get cleaned during you stay. The location and price are good but not good enough to come back here again.

We stayed here 2 nights 29-31 Dec, 2 adults - 2 children. We didn’t rate the hotel and would not return. Our overall assessment was the hotel seemed to be lacking any real leadership, we never saw one person who looked to be providing experience/direction to colleagues . Check in was quick but we were offered no guidance regarding parking/the local area/meal reservations The hotels restaurant /bar area which is the same area for drinks/breakfast/evening meal is quite small and wasn’t cleaned well and felt grubby. We ate in the hotel on the 2nd night and although there wasn’t anything wrong with the food it was uninspiring with a poor menu choice. Our waitress was just going through the motions. A 3 course meal took 2.5 hours, whilst we wernt in a rush it felt we waited unnecessarily long between courses when the restaurant was quiet . The bar/restaurant area is full of sports screens which we didn’t mind but does reduce the ambience if you are wanting a more intimate drink The hotel had a rule that you couldn’t sit in the restaurant area for a drink, whilst I understand this after 9pm restaurant reservations were non existent and we saw families who were patrons of the hotel refused a seat as it was the restaurant and then watched them go to their room as there was no where for them to sit. In my eyes employees should be given discretion to bend the rules when it makes sense The lifts drove us wild during our stay, you had to swipe your key card and we had no end of battles with key cards not working. The toilets in the restaurant/bar were on the lower ground floor and needed a key card, which became a faff with 2 children. This all sounds minor but we got stuck in the lift once and got ourselves quite distressed. Talking to other guests we weren’t alone We wouldn’t recommend but if you do have a booking, there are some plus points. Location is fab, with nice bars/restaurants/shops in immediate vicinity, it’s next door to a home bargains! The room had a cold mini fridge in the room which we found handy for drinks Q car park next door which was handy

Spent two nights here recently at the end of December as base for heading to a match. 2nd visit here and hotel ticks all the boxes. The location is excellent, check in/out was quick. Breakfast was lovely and overall service was good. Rooms are fine; little on small side but perfect for 2 nights. Will return.
