The hotel is close to the Roman ruins. It is also within walking distance to the Syracuse island. Several excellent restaurants nearby.

From the moment you walk in and smell the lobby you know this hotel is being well taken care of. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Towels were clean. Everything you can ask for. As a bonus breakfast was really good and there’s a rooftop pool. No complaints. Slept throughout the night. Staff was very nice.

Cleaners, breakfast and bar staff and staff and reception staff have been fantastic. Friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in privilege room on second floor. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was great, quite a large variety to chose from. Roof top pool was an added bonus and we always managed to get some m loungers. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The price we paid gave great value for money,

First time visiting Sicily (first generation children who speak fluently ) couldn’t be more happier staying at Mercure Siracusa Prometeo. Walking into the lobby where we were welcomed by Umberto, who was more than hospitable and greeted us as if we were family. Whatever our needs where he made sure they were met by accommodating us and giving us advice of where to eat and how to navigate around Siracusa. The rooms were immaculate , the rooftop pool and view were incredible especially at sunset having a glass of wine and watching the sun go down was breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel for its hospitality and accommodations and also the wonderful breakfast and dinner they serve . Thank you to Umberto and staff for a wonderful stay. Jesse and Maria ❤️

Definitely the most expensive Mercure hotel I have stayed in. Probably the most expensive Accor hotel I have ever stayed in. At 361 Euro (Room Only – no breakfast) for the lowest category and smallest room in the hotel this is a rip-off. Room overlooked what is probably the busiest and noisiest road in Siracusa. Must be very close to the hospital, given the continuous sirens from ambulances. I was not recognised as a Gold Accor member and was offered no upgrade. Internet was so slow it was almost unusable. No glasses in rooms, only paper cups, which leaked all over the side tables and floor. Housekeeping was inconsistent with having to ask staff for items that had not been attended to. E.g. coffee, towels, paper cups. One sachet of de-caf and one sachet of regular coffee only. Pool area – towels were difficult to obtain and were of poor quality

I will personally follow up with the team to ensure this is not overlooked in the future. We are also sorry to hear that the room location and noise affected your comfort. While we do our best to accommodate requests for quieter rooms, we understand that traffic and nearby emergency services can sometimes be disruptive. We will be sure to keep this in mind when assigning rooms, especially for longer stays or sensitive guests. Regarding room amenities and housekeeping, your observations are well noted. We are currently reviewing our in-room offering and service standards, and your comments will be shared directly with the housekeeping department to avoid inconsistencies moving forward. I also understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with slow Wi-Fi — our technical team has been informed to address this issue more thoroughly. Finally, I regret the inconvenience at the pool and with towel availability and quality. This feedback helps us identify where we fall short of delivering the level of comfort and value our guests deserve, particularly at the rates we offer during peak periods. Once again, I appreciate your comments and assure you they are being taken seriously. I hope you might reconsider and allow us the opportunity to provide a much-improved experience in the future.
