Shocking accommodation and restaurant.

We were put at this hotel for the night by Air New Zealand when our flight back to New Zealand was canceled. Honestly this was the most disappointing place we have ever stayed. The room was subpar with spray paint on the tiles to cover up mold and cracking. It had a strong musty smell, the carpet felt like you were walking on a dirty dry ground outside not a room at the novotel. The entire thing was dated and old and needs sorting from the door to the room to the bathroom, balcony, couch, and the air-conditioning was horrible. The bed was old, with a aged mattress and definitely not comfortable at all. The meals at the restaurant were not nice at all and took so long to come out that we gave up on having anything decent to eat. As they were either stone cold or just mediocre food that looked like no one cared. The buffet breakfast was a good spread but looked like it had been all set up early in the morning and was not at all appetizing for the cost of it per person. And you couldn't order anything as the menus didn't start until 11am. So it was buffet or nothing. The only upside was the front desk staff were friendly and concierge staff member who was helpful, cheerful and exudes the fiji happy attitude even though his shift had finished but as he saw all the shuttles coming from the airport he stayed later to help out. Definitely not somewhere we would stay again under zero circumstances.

We understand how disappointing this must have been, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. We are truly sorry to hear about the condition of the room, the discomfort you experienced, and the delays and quality concerns with the food and beverage service. While the hotel was managing a high volume of disrupted passengers on the day of your stay, with reduced staffing due to low occupancy, this does not reflect the standard of service we strive to provide. Nevertheless, your feedback has been shared with our food and beverage team, as well as our management and operational teams, for immediate review. While we acknowledge that the hotel is aged, our continued focus remains on maintaining the property to the highest possible standard. We would also like to share that within the next one to two months, we will be commencing a major redevelopment and refurbishment of the entire hotel over the coming years. This significant investment, amounting to tens of millions of dollars, will include the addition of 53 new rooms, a new swimming pool, lobby, restaurant, gym, and spa, as well as a full refurbishment of all existing rooms. We are very excited about these upcoming enhancements, which will greatly elevate the guest experience at Nadi Airport. On a positive note, we are pleased to hear that our front desk and concierge team made a good impression. Your kind words about their friendliness, helpfulness, and genuine Fijian hospitality — especially the concierge who stayed beyond his shift — will be shared with the team, as this level of care truly reflects the spirit we strive to deliver. Once again, we are very sorry that your stay fell short of expectations. Thank you for your honest feedback, which helps guide our improvements as we move into this exciting new chapter for the hotel.

Vanwege een vroege vlucht in de ochtend en gunstige ligging van dit hotel hebben we hier 1 nacht verbleven. Het hotel ligt erg dicht bij het vliegveld, maar je hebt bijna geen overlast van de vliegtuigen. Er stijgen dagelijks maar een handje vol vliegtuigen op. Rondom het hotel vind je een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid en erg goed. Voor het diner heb je de keuze uit verschillende gerechten en is erg westers georiënteerd. Kamers zijn ruim, schoon en voorzien van airco. Tevens kun je gratis gebruik maken van thee en koffie op je kamer. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een minpunt is dat WiFi niet gratis is.

Een heel groot hotel, dus onpersoonlijk. Kamers zijn redelijk. Niet iets om heel lang te verblijven, maar voor enkele nachten goed te doen. Restaurant is ook redelijk met het concept dat je je gerechten zelf kunt samenstellen.
