A disastrous stay – constant problems, zero accountability

My stay at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach has been nothing short of a disaster and completely unworthy of a luxury brand. Despite fully prepaying a suite more than a month in advance, I was given a lower-floor suite with no explanation. Upon arrival on 29 December, I was forced to pay AED 500 for minibar deposit, while USD cash was refused unless exchanged at an unfair hotel rate. Shortly after, a staff member rudely locked the minibar, an unacceptable and humiliating act in any hotel. The room problems were endless: • Broken coffee machine on arrival, wasting over an hour • A so-called “suite” lacking basic suite-level amenities • Poor bathroom and vanity facilities, no full-length mirror • Even today, after returning to my room, there was no drinking water and no glass provided unless I personally called and requested them This was not my first issue here. During a previous stay, management asked me not to file a complaint, promising future compensation—which was never honored. Even now, despite sending a formal complaint email, no one has responded. Instead of enjoying a premium New Year stay, I am constantly forced to chase basic necessities. This hotel feels more like a battle than a place of hospitality. I strongly do not recommend this property to anyone expecting professionalism, respect, or true luxury.

Beautiful hotel and location is worth the Money. Helpful staff, clean , tidy rooms. . We were group of 9 and had booked sea view rooms. View from the balcony was so pleasant. Look out for 8 PM drone show!

Recently I visited this hotel , the location of the is very good view is so stunning and I had dinner at restaurant food was fabulous and rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly especially LIN from room cleaning helped me alot ,good hospitality.
