If I could have given them a zero I would have. If you are flying out of Sydney Airport and choose to stay at a hotel the night before, do not stay at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Ross Smith Avenue Mascot. I couldn't wait to get out of there (I cancelled my remaining reservations and went to the Travelodge). It's definitely "you get what you pay for". Cheap, nasty and with constant noise all night from the main road below my closed window. The guy at reception obviously didn’t want to be there and it showed. I can whole heartedly recommend the Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport in King Street Mascot. It is extremely quiet (road traffic wise and neighbours). I booked 5 rooms and wanted them all together on the same floor (7 family members) when we flew out and also when we returned and the hotel staff were very accommodating. The Travelodge rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are lovely. It also has a nice little restaurant on the ground floor. It is definitely worth paying a little extra at the Travelodge for the rooms than the cheaper Ibis Budget Hotel.

We spent one night in Room 541, and then after travelling interstate and getting home the next day, we both noted that we had been badly bitten by bed bugs. After sending several emails detailing our experience and asking what action the hotel management would take, and also approximately 10 phone calls at different times of the day, none answered and message bank full, we have not been contacted by the hotel. They have not been interested in addressing our concerns. We will never stay there again, and indeed would be wary about staying in any Ibis hotel in future.

No frills but very practical choice

This is a Budget hotel with no frills but it’s extremely comfortable, clean and practical. Its location too is very convenient and walking distance from the domestic airport. It’s a great place to spend a night for transit. The staff are very helpful too. There are plenty of eateries around. All in all I was pleased with this place.

This hotel is very cheap dirty looking no power points in bathroom To iron your clothes you have to go dow to ground floor laundry room The shower is so small the taps turn off every time you turn. There is no water pressure if you want a warm shower Lack of maintenance in room the door was very hard to open Very disappointing Definitely would not stay here again The toilet has a strong smell

An adequate, budget friendly accommodation close to the Sydney airport. It is walking distance to the domestic terminal (maybe 15ish min walk), or there is a shuttle that you can book for $12 per person, which departs from the mantra hotel next door and leaves at specific times. We walked to the hotel after landing, and took an uber to the international terminal the following morning, which was a faster and more cost effective option for multiple people. It’s close to several fast food options, and the Mascot train station is approximately a 20 min walk away. The rooms were run down but clean, and it was surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel. I would absolutely stay here again if transiting through Sydney.
