I booked two rooms for my family who were visiting Sydney. To ensure everything went smoothly, I came a few days earlier to provide my ID and credit card details in case I was unable to attend the check-in personally. I also gave authorization for my family to check in on my behalf. However, I was surprised and disappointed to receive a response from Manila suggesting that I was trying to take advantage of the member rate and resell it to someone else. I find this assumption unacceptable and entirely untrue. In fact, on the check-in day, I personally returned and completed the check-in process for my family. Manila had no right to make such assumptions or express opinions based on her own thoughts or speculations.

As part of the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) membership terms, the member must be staying in the property to utilise member-exclusive rates and benefits. While we acknowledge that you came in advance to provide your ID and credit card, upon arrival you had mentioned uncertainty about whether you would be staying. In such cases, the team must ensure that membership terms are upheld, which includes confirming that the member is present during the stay. We understand you later returned on the day of check-in and completed the process personally, which resolved the concern at the time. However, please note that there was never any intention to make assumptions or cause offence—our team’s priority is simply to ensure that policies are followed fairly for all guests.
