Thanks to everyone at the Sofitel for making our stay so enjoyable. Lovely modern hotel just about close enough to walk to key attractions in Xi’an. Don’t worry if you do fancy walking as the metro is cheap and easy to use and cabs are very cheap too. Our room was lovely and breakfast terrific. There aren’t a huge number of places to eat locally but this really wasn’t a problem for us.

Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly and professionally, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous with our bags and offering assistance with our trip and our plans for our stay. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and they very kindly upgraded us to a suite, which was a lovely surprise, fruit was also brought to our room as well as a cake which was a very thoughtful gesture. The room we stayed in was spacious and had excellent furnishings and was very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed using the pool and the gym. Special mention to Andy and Kevin who went above and beyond to assist us each day, and were very informative and friendly. We are very appreciative of their assistance during our stay.

I had a really great experience at this hotel. We have booked online for two connecting rooms and were pleasantly surprised to be give very spacious connecting rooms with big living area in between. Maybe we went during the low tourist season in Xian and such rooms are available. The breakfast spread was wonderful, good range of western, international and local dishes and gave me a chance to taste Shaanxi street food and snacks prepared by hotel chefs. For someone with weak stomach, I really appreciate the food range provided. Last but not least, my family was super impressed with the high level of customer service. We could feel the sincerity of the staff, from the porter, to front desk and concierge that they only want to give their best service to us. I left Xian with very good memories and the 3 nights stay in Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square is on the top of these memories. A special "Thank You for the Great Service" to Andy Song, Calvin and also the ladies who were on front desk duty on 9 Dec 2024 around 1pm. A big thank you to the male staff on duty at the concierge on 9 and 10 Dec 2024 too. I hope the management of the hotel can see this and pass the praises to them.

Exceptional 4 night stay at Sofitel Renmin Square.

We were pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade to a bigger room at the elite floor and complimentary bed for my child. The room was big, luxurious with bay window overlooking the city. The bath amenities were of good French brand and bathroom was huge, with both standing shower and bathtub. Staff service was exceptional. We feedback about the room being stuffy as the aircon couldn’t be adjusted due to central control during the winter season and the staff brought in a mobile aircon/fan to help with the ventilation. One particular concierge staff, Kevin Guo went the extra mile to help with directions, googling for local services, giving recommendations, and always so smiley and warm.

Lovely hotel with huge rooms and excellent breakfast

The room was large and spacious. Room and bathroom were clean. They had a power strip attached to the night stand with several USB slots and one electric slot. This was very useful. The bathroom toiletries were good. The bed and pillow were very comfortable and the blackout curtains let no light in. I did hear noises from the room next door but I had an end room so it wasn’t bad. The breakfast was excellent. There was a wanton bar and also noodle bar with a million toppings to add. Both were delicious. Prior to booking, I emailed the hotel several times with questions and they answered promptly. The hotel is 10-15 minute walk to the closest subway station per the hotel so it’s probably not super convenient to visit the sites one your own. I had a driver for the whole time so it was fine for me. The front staff are all very nice. There was an issue with them charging me for the room when I paid already with Expedia but I emailed the hotel and they resolved this quickly. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was good value for the price I paid.
