The room was clean, and the bed comfortable, apart from the high pillows. Did ask for flatter pillow, but didn't have any, so purchased my own. The pool was good for length swims, and no problem getting a sun lounge. Although a few could be replaced, as old style and uncomfortable. The staff at check in were amazing, and went out of their way to help. Loved the location, as not far to walk to bars, and the beach. Just walked through the Melasti hotel across the road to the beach. Things to improve on, make sure no mould around aircon, (did get it cleaned), and the mattress protector is not badly stained. Have some lower pillows for people who can't use high pillows.

Great location; great staff - always smiling, friendly and helpful. Has been our go to hotel in Bali for many, many years - our second home. Beds are comfortable; aircon cold; breakfast is varied and plentiful. Free filtered water is a bonus. Rooms are getting dated but a refurb is planned for early this year. Looking forward to returning again when the refurb is completed.

Poor Customer Service Experience

I came and room was not ready, waited until past 2pm, still not ready. When a room (next to mine) was ready, it was given to guests came after me. I asked and was always given answer "5 minutes". I asked for extra towels. Staff delivered with a comment,"You know you can use towels we already provided on your bed, As if I don't know the obvious, first traveller. Breakfast buffet selections were underwhelmed & limited, food not tasty. I paid half price for my kid 12yo. When I explained & shared my experience that I never had to pay as age 12 and below were always free. Staff didn't acknowledge, instead 5-mins later, she printed out the policy and circle it, trying to prove her point, being defensive. I asked why did she print it, I already accepted, didnt make any scene and paid straight away. She couldnt answer and forced me to take the paper. I have been loyal Accor customer staying with Accor for over 10 years, this is the first uncomfortable experience. I have stayed in different countries with Accor, different brands from Ibis, Ibis Styles, Novotel, to Mercure/Grand Mercure. I have been satisfied with the level of hospitality and staff's guest service. This is the first time I was not being acknowledge as a guest. I don't recommend staying in this hotel if you expect Accor's service standard are not consistently maintained.
