The Ibis Málaga Centro is greatly located as you cross the short bridge next to the hotel and in 3 minutes walking you are at the pedestrian old center of Malaga, close to all main museums and historical sites. Parking is on site and is comfortable to park so if you are driving is perfect. Rooms are comfy, very clean, wi fi works fine. Front desk team is efficient and friendly and the buffet breakfast is extra varied and tasty! Belén and Inma were always helping with a huge smile, that makes a great difference in service! And Sergio, huge smile and friendly overlooking the operation and helping all the time! A 1A manager! Very recommended place to stay!

Checked in at 12.00 and checked out at 12.15. The corridors were dark and cramped. The room stank of smoke. The aircon didn't work. The door to the bathroom didn't close. Very cramped and as someone using crutches it wasn't very accessible. No apology or refund given. Would not recommend.

Dear Mr. Sorcham, We are sorry to hear that our hotel did not meet your expectations. After speaking with our staff, we learned that you simply did not like the room upon seeing it. When offered the chance to view a different room, you chose not to do so and preferred to leave the hotel instead. Since the reservation was prepaid, no refund was issued, as the images on the booking portal clearly represent the type of room you had reserved. Our corridors are designed with a soft lighting and darker tones, which is part of our style, but they are still properly lit to ensure safe passage. I apologize if you experienced technical issues in the room. We have checked the air conditioning system on the date of your check-in and found no record of malfunctions. I am truly sorry for what happened and for reading your review on several platforms. We sincerely hope you will give us another opportunity to make it up to you. The happiness of our guests is very important to us, and we would be glad to regain your trust in the future.

Good for a short stay

We had a bit of fun finding the car park entrance as google maps was a bit slow meaning we ended up missing the right turn off, but made it eventually! The car park is in the basement and might be a bit tight for a bigger car but it is very secure. There was work going on in public area when we stayed so no bar or restaurant available however this wasn’t really a massive issue as we arrived late and were only there for the night. We stayed in a superior room which was basic but a decent size. Due to the time of year that we were there, the air con didn’t seem to be on and the room temperature was a bit too high for us - it was too noisy with the window open so this wasn’t ideal. There was however a very good black out blind and curtain which made for a good sleep. Location is great - right on the edge of the old town so everything is walkable. Good overall for a short stay.

Thus is an excellent hotel perfect fir exploring the Historic Centre of Malaga. 5 minute walk to Centre. The amenities are well looked after cleanliness excellent .Aircon in the room was excellent .Room perfect. Bed ws comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night .I couldnt find fault with anything during my stay. Thankyou Malaga Centro staff

Positives - I chose the hotel based on location as we arrived late afternoon and were leaving early the following morning. It was an easy walk to bars/restaurants. The bed was comfortable, shower large and powerful and breakfast was fine. The lady on reception was friendly and very kindly booked us a taxi to the airport. Negatives - Room itself was very basic and featureless. Towels very thin and poor quality. No space in room to relax, only the bed. Air-con did not work. Storage is an issue which is why I say it’s not suitable for a longer stay. There were only 6 hangers. No drawers for clothes/underwear, only 3 highly unsuitable round shelves as part of the hanging rail.
