Worst airport hotel

Firstly, before I wrote my experience of this place. I would like to inform that I complained more than two months ago and I am still waiting to receive an answer for the Manager of this property. Ibis Budget Charleroi is the worst experience at an airport hotel in my life. I came from a long trip, and I mentioned to the receptionist that I was looking for something quite and fresh. I didn’t ask for anything else. When I arrived to the room, I couldn’t breathe, because the room was really hot. The room was full of mosquitos and different kinds of insects. I was exhausted from my long trip that I didn’t have the energy to go downstairs to put a formal complaint. But of course, I woke up more than 10 times for this situation (heat, mosquitos + noise) I went for breakfast. I reserved a transfer with their reception staff, and as they informed, the transfer is 13 euros per room. I don’t know why I have to share a transportation with someone else + you charge 13 euros to each person for the taxi. 26 euros (2 people) for 5 minutes in taxi. I have better hotel experience in countries with less resources. Avoid this place if you can.

Concerning our transfer service, we apologize for any misunderstanding. We offer a shuttle service by taxi to and from the airport terminal for €10 per transfer, accommodating up to 4 people. This service is provided to offer convenience to our guests at a competitive rate. We are sorry if this arrangement did not meet your expectations. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our communication about our services. We sincerely apologize for the delay in responding to your complaint. Great stay! Great Staff! A little pick-me up needed and lacks charm.

The staff were really friendly and efficient. Great check in, easy check out. There are vending machines but otherwise no Café as this is a budget hotel. I found the room to be ideal but without character or charm. Very basic and in some places a little dusty. Otherwise a great room for getting ready for work or flying for leisure. It was ideal as it is super close to the airport and the walk is scary at first but very easy to follow and pretty with sunrise. People usually are on that path so it isn't totally isolated but upon arrival at night it was quite difficult. There are specific buses which go to the hotel so be sure to check, thankfully I had a good bus driver who dropped me off at the hotel. This is not fault of the hotel, just a tip. I decided to give this hotel 3 stars because of the price of the room, I got a good deal because I booked early but would never pay more than £75 for the room. Also because of the smell in the shower, the drain must not have been cleaned properly. I did like how the shower was built and the room layout. Otherwise it was a great stay and I would go again.

Not so nice. The bathroom was smelling like pee, couldn't get to sleep because of persons shouting outside. If you come walking, it's some distance to walk, the hotel is not in area of the airport. Paid additional for breakfast but coming at 8am, there was almost nothing left. After asking for more food, as there was only bread left, the receptionist stated that it is what it is, there will not be anything more. No one was cleaning the tables, so there were crumbs and stains everywhere.

Cannot fault it. Best value for money near the airport. Simple but clean and functional. Good breakfast , good beds, very good sound insulation. Friendly staff. Shuttle to and from the airport. Recommended.

Stayed there for one night and it was pretty good! Breakfast was so good for a small hotel. There were bread (no gluten free), cereal, croissants, yoghurt, crepes with nutella and jam. Shower was really small. Bed were okay for comfiness. Overall cute good hotel. I would recommend this hotel especially with kids.
