We had a short trip to Canberra to visit the war memorial and chose the Mercure for its proximity to it. It is also with in walking distance to shops and cafes. Staff were lovely on check in and check out. Room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Amazing hot water and water pressure too! There is a open air car park available at a cost but easy to access, as we had a big vehicle this isn’t always the case. Definitely encourage you try the room service it didn’t disappoint!! Thanks for the lovely stay!

Booked by phone as needed accessible room. Customer service operator very helpful. Booked bed and breakfast with secure parking. Check in easy and room with king bed and accessible bathroom good. Had food at bistro/bar which was delicious. Breakfast was a disappointment. Fresh fruit a disappointment. Scrambled eggs were cold, the bacon scrappy. Had to ask for a tea pot of tea. Lid didn’t fit and had to hold it on. Would return but unless breakfast improves would not book b&b.

This was a great choice for a quick trip to Canberra. Ideally located close to the City Centre, but with a great open feel and a relaxed and comfortable ambience. Very helpful staff, delicious room service meals on the night we arrived, and a great, relaxing breakfast the next morning. It's a wonderful place to look at, and even better when you get inside! Claudia on the front desk did everything possible to make us feel welcome, and answered every question we had. Outstanding.

We stayed here to attend the Pompeii exhibition at the National Museum not far away. The hotel looked as though it could do with a bit of a spruce up in places (repainting etc), but the room was very quiet with a small balcony onto the courtyard. Room was clean, bed comfortable - as were the pillows, and the fridge was very quiet. The bathroom - well that's another story. Yet again the shower is 'open' with a glass screen to the side but it didn't matter where the shower rose faced, water still managed to escape onto the bathroom floor. There must be a better setup than this - as we entered the room the first time we noticed the carpet was wet for about 30cm from the bathroom door - either the previous occupant wasn't very careful, or the carpet is always wet there. We managed to contain any water with the use of the bathmat and aim the water at the floor drain, but it did leave a very wet mat - at least we didn't add to the wet carpet.

Siamo stati in questo albergo di passaggio da Sidney a Melbourne, molto caratteristico. Personale delicato, stanza grande con balconcino esterno, pace e tranquillità. Stile differente dagli altri alberghi di catena Mercure, adatto al posto di montagna in cui si trova Canberra. Colazione buona. Peccato per la wifi a pagamento, il parcheggio a pagamento, e le bottiglie di acqua di cortesia che dovrebbero essere in omaggio, e che invece sono a pagamento anch'esse.
