Great treatment of an Accor platinum

I booked a stay here as I am an Accor Plus member (rate $120 a night - bargain!) and platinum (they gave me an upgrade to a 1 bedroom, wine and breakfast). The staff were all lovely and the lobby is really welcoming. My room was large and I liked having the kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The pool was ok but a little cold as the heater is broken. The location is good near the light rail and an easy walk to the Canberra centre. Only issue was wifi that cut in and out in the evening. Otherwise a perfect stay. The breakfast was tasty too. I preferred my stay here to a more expensive recent stay at the nearby Novotel.

Not a 4 star hotel, don’t expect any Accor Benefits.

We booked this hotel as part of Accor group. Being a Platinum member one expects some perks from the hotel. Nil forthcoming from management. The hotel is in midtown and has no views and no character. We had booked a bedroom suite. We found out there was no coffee maker (apart from instant coffee) in the room. We enquired about an upgrade, apparently a premier room was available with a Nespresso coffee maker. The manager refused to give us that room claiming it had not been cleaned and that he was not having it cleaned. We asked if the Nespresso machine from the other room could be brought to our room but that request was also rejected out of hand. The hotel doesn’t have a dining room for lunch or dinner, a strange situation for a claimed 4 star hotel!!!! The rigidity of the manager was unbelievable. The room itself is spacious enough but it has no other redeeming features.

As an Accor property, we always strive to recognise our members, and upgrades are provided when available. However, as mentioned during your stay, upgrades are subject to availability, and unfortunately, the premier room was not ready for immediate occupancy due to our minimal housekeeping staff on weekends. Regarding coffee facilities, Nespresso machines are not a standard inclusion in all rooms. While we were unable to relocate one for you, we did offer complimentary barista-made coffee as an alternative. I’m sorry if this did not meet your preferences. We acknowledge that our dining options differ from some other hotels, but we aim to provide quality alternatives, including nearby dining recommendations. Your feedback is valuable, and we will continue to review how we can improve our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a more enjoyable experience. Bed and shower are probably the best things in the whole apartment, walked into stains on the carpet, black hair in the shower ( someone else's) stains on the bedding covers, are you serious? Gross.. the car park, you don't even get a designated spot to park your car, it's just if you're lucky. Cockroaches in the lower ground level crawling around. Never again. Paid so much money for these apartments not even worth it

La buona posizione e l'appartenenza al programma ALL non hanno fatto passare in secondo piano la scarsa pulizia, colazione migliorabile, basso rapporto qualità prezzo. In generale un'esperienza ampiamente migliorabile.

Ci siamo fermati una notte a Canberra e abbiamo alloggiato qui, hotel efficiente personale molto disponibile, camere fantastiche...spaziose e c’è tutto per soddisfare esigenze, bagno con possibilità di lavate indumenti, salotto e ottimo letto. Bravi !!!
