Poor Communication

After checking in online we visiting the Property early to do a bag drop off I was advised to return at around 2pm for my room allocation. I waited in the reception area until after 3:15 to be allocated a room and during that time no one approached me or attempted to use the What’s Up app i was connected to to explain what was happening. I was sitting no more than 10 meters from reception. My prefect day of a long walk and swim was lost when this could have been simply avoided by letting me know there were delays in checking in.

Fantastic stay as usual.

Great stay as usual. Manly is always wonderful to visit as is this hotel. Have visited many times over many years and always have a great time.

Top notch hotel - needs more lifts and better parking.

The hotel itself, the restaurants, the pools, the rooms and the location are all top notch. What let it down is there are only 2 lifts - so you spend a huge amount of time waiting for lifts. There are stairs which you are encouraged to use - but when you walk up them - you find the exit door to the room floor is locked so you have to walk all the way back to reception again to get the lift. I mentioned this on several occasions but it was never resolved. The car parking is an absolute joke - there are only limited spaces, which should be allocated on a first come first served basis but the hotel basically overbooks which means that there are nearly double the number of cars in that should fit. This means if you need to exit early in the morning - it is a lottery if you can actually get your car out. I would suggest the hotel should partner with the local council to arrange more overflow arrangements.

Manly, 5 miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care.

We dined at the Bistro, the service and food were both five star worthy, all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to meet all our needs. No-one could have been better than them. The food was top notch, the wine list, although small, was thorough, and wine knowledge of the staff were what I would have expected from a much more expensive hotel. We had coffee and dessert in the bar next door, and the bistro staff brought it over to us without fuss. This is our third visit in about 6 years, but it won't be our last. Love your work and food people and the view is about the best there is. Keep it up.

Highly recommend a stay in the Villas

This is my second stay at the hotel. This time we stayed in a deluxe ocean view room which is part of the Villas. We booked the Culinary Coastline package. This was a totally different experience compared to my initial stay in an entry level room. This room was well appointed and looks like the photos. The charcuterie platter, complimentary non alcoholic minibar, welcome cocktails, and dinner at Cibaria were all to a high standard and very much enjoyed. No confusion and a hassle free entry/exit in the carpark (parking is included in the price) which was great. I would stay again. Suggestions for improvement - There was a lot of confusion over the complimentary coffees. I think staff turnover is high at the hotel, so training needs to be enforced. - The buffet breakfast is below the standard expected at this price point. Usual charge of $55 or so per head. I would encourage the hotel to explore a few a la carte cook to order plates for guests. The pastries should be ordered from a different supplier, they are not good.
