Looking for a place to stay during Cannesttater Volkfest, this hotel came up to my mind and … I couldn’t be more right !!! Located in front of the S and U station, too handy to move to everywhere ( airport, city, fest, etc ) At the top of that the room is nice clean and comfortable, the breakfast plenty of variety and the restaurant, on a sunny day, beautiful. Cost effective with massive good price vs quality balance.

Good hotel but service can be better

I chose this hotel because I stayed here a few years ago and really liked it but this time I didn’t like the check-in process. I arrived late with my young son and this one receptionist named Nuno made us wait instead of check-in us in. He was kinda of rude. I had to ask him to check us in smh. We were really tired. As a Gold member, I didn’t feel welcomed at all. I had to explain to him the benefits of Gold membership. Didn’t even know how to use the points. That’s something he should know. It seemed like he had no clue. I don’t even know why he works as a receptionist. Besides that the stay was ok. The location is good right next to Vaihingen train station. It takes 30 mins to City Center on the bus. I really liked the sauna, gym, pool, breakfast and the park infront of the hotel. It has a playground area. Walking distance to Schwaben Galerie and supermarkets. The other receptionists and lady at the bar did provide good service. Service could’ve been better at breakfast. Hotel and location is good but service needs improvement.

Absolute lack of respect at check in and sense of timing for guests arriving who just want to refresh and rest in the room . Most hotels will give your key within few minutes . This one took forever , absolutely forever . The room quality was average , with two separate small blankets for a double bed with two persons which doesn’t make sense.

Wifi and elevators both either dont work or are so slow you are better off finding something else.

There are some positive things to say about the hotel but 2 main things cause me to ward anybody away. One the elevators are crap. There are 3 technically but only 2 work and im using the term "work" liberally. I am not exaggerating to say that you can wait upwards of 15 minutes to use the elevator. The stairs by the way are attached to the outside of the hotel so depending on the season that could be awful. There are also quite a few floors so walking 10 floors on the outside stairs in German weather sounds awful. It would be faster than the elevator though. The second is that the wifi here is completely unusable. I am not sure how hotels are graded here but if this is a 4 star hotel id be frightened to see a two star. The employees seem nice, the breakfast is a high point. The location is also a saving grace as its right next door to multiple hubs of public transportation. All that said I wish I would have selected a different hotel. 30 days of long waits at the elevator and no internet (currently writing this review on my phone which is saying something as im on roaming) is going to be awful. For the price you are better off staying somewhere cheaper and/or maybe paying a little more to have wifi and the ability to get to your room or to the lobby in under 20 minutes.

I had a fantastic stay at the Pullman, it’s right next to the U14, 200 meters walking distance. Rooms are clean. Breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. But the highlight was the Bar Cin Cin newly opened and has open till 00:30 and has very friendly staff. Soner and Heike take good care of all your requests.
