Excellent location - old town just steps away and bus interchange nearby for exploring the area. We had 2 room on the 6th floor. Both rooms were modern and clean with a kettle to make hot drinks. Fully air conditioned. Unlike a lot of hotels there were no queues for the elevator. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping did a good job but slightly annoying they came very early in the mornings and woke us up, only found the do no disturb sign in the closet after a few days. Housekeeping missed one room on one day. Overall a positive experience, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

I have stayed in this hotel quite a number of times and have always had a very good experience. The location of this hotel is perfect. You're just a few minutes away from the shopping area and the famous Dom. Also the big market square is within 10 minutes of walking. The room that I had was small, but clean, functional, and everything worked fine. The bed was very comfortable. The in-room safe was very large and my 16" laptop fitted nicely, leaving room for other valuables. There was also a water boiler with complimentary powder coffee and tea, plus a complimentary bottle with water. The work desk was not that large, but sufficient for some work on the laptop. The chair is not very suitable as a work chair for a longer period of time though. The bathroom was also on the small side, but including a shower, had everything you'd need. The shower cabin was smallish. The thing that really stood out was the breakfast buffet. I can strongly recommend to include this in your reservation. It was not only very extensive, but also had high quality food items. For example, the fresh fruit was truly freshly cut and not from a can. But there were many more items that tasted really well, like the various choices of fresh made bread. The breakfast staff was also very kind and provided great service. It didn't take them long to know my preferences for example. But this was true for all the staff and it really makes the difference. It is a major reason for me to return to this hotel. There was one thing however that I was disappointed with. This time, the WiFi signal was somewhat weak and also not very stable. Perhaps I was unlucky with the room that I had, but this has never happened before and I hope the hotel can look into this. Having said that, I'll be very happy to return to this hotel whenever my travels take me to Aachen!

We really loved our one night here at the hotel and in the lovely city of Aachen. The room was nice and cozy and the facilities were very good in the hotel and the room itself including the comfy bed and good bathroom. The hotel is located right in the city center so it's the perfect place to explore Aachen. The staff were also great for our check in and check out. Id stay here again if in Aachen.

Stayed at this hotel a few times before when visiting family in Aachen, but this was the first post-Covid stay. I was originally booked into the Motel 1 down the road, but found the interactions with the staff and the parking situation at the hotel ridiculous, so I moved here - and I am glad I did. All in all, it was a decent stay - rooms are clean but in urgent need of renovation - for some strange reason, my room did not have any sheer curtains, just blackouts, so people from the neighbouring house could look straight into my room - nothing interesting happening here, so I did not really mind, but strange. Pillows need an urgent refresh! Living in Asia for over 10 years, I can’t get over the fact that in Germany, so many hotels still charge for high speed internet - that seems really strange, but on the plus side, the paid internet worked extremely well and facilitated the few conference calls that I had to join without any issues. Now to the awesome part: for a 3-star hotel, the breakfast is outstanding! Daily changing hot dishes added to a great range of cold items - an exemplary display of what this part of Germany is famous for: great breads and cold cuts. Solid range of tea (actual leaves, not tea-“dust”) and friendly service. Finally, the staff is the best asset of this place, especially the team at front desk, they are friendly, attentive, chatty and I loved interacting with them. All in all, there are certainly newer hotels in town, but when it comes to friendliness, convenience, quality of breakfast and the overall atmosphere this is still my go-to place. Good value for money and a lovely team.

What a great place to stay! Excellent location only steps away from the famous old cathedral, shopping and restaurants. Convenient parking at a secured garage with Mercure reserved places (the front desk has to buzz you in). Comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly, congenial staff who surprised me the morning of my birthday with a table set and decorated for the occasion! Now that's a very special touch! Exceptional staff like Aitzi, Bianka and the two ladies at the registration desk who notified the restaurant staff truly make their guests feel very special. We will stay here again!
