We spent 4 enjoyable nights at the Pullman hotel. The hotel is situated midway between Euston and King's Cross stations and is easily accessed on foot. So a good choice for anyone travelling down from the north. There are therefore good Underground connections as well as buses which pass by the door. We stayed in a classic room which was small bur well appointed but lacked drawer space. The room ,though, was very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb with a wide choice. A great way to start the day. We also ate one night at the GA restaurant, we both had a burger which was excellent. The desserts too were enjoyable and big enough that we could easily have shared one. The hotel has a very friendly, helpful feel. We would definitely stay here again if in London and look out for the Accor brand.

The hotel was great but the restaurant wasn’t. It was so cold we had to go to our room to get jackets. The service was delightfully smiley, but poor. Attracting attention was very difficult. Different people served us and there was no joined-up thinking. I ordered a steak. A steak arrived adorned with a spring onion! To be told that I hadn’t ordered “sides” was unhelpful. A steak would never be served naked. The coffee was apparently from another server, it took more than 10 minutes to arrive. The next morning the breakfast service was just as poor and bear in mind this was a buffet. Coffee was served haphazardly, sometimes one cup being walked around by someone looking for a home. Getting a second cup beat the previous night’s record - more than 12 minutes. The whole place is substandard, albeit the food was reasonably good. If we stay again we will not use the restaurant, and go to St Pancras station for breakfast.

Very poor experience and standards

My husband and I stayed as an expensive treat before onward travel. On arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which is general patter when staying at a hotel and paying over 200 pounds. The room had a really bad layout with a box pillar in the centre of the room allowing about 10cm to get into the one side of the bed, meaning you literally had to crawl across the bottom of the bed to get into. Also the television did not work, on two occasions at the start and a few hours into our stay we went to reception and was told different things as to the reason, when I went down the second time the receptionist with what a presume was a manager stood behind her acted dumb to the issue. After the manager could see I wasn’t going to give up he stepped in and said there was an issue all day with the Wi-Fi to the hotel and maintenance was sorting, which were told on our first visit to reception and few hours previous. There was no apology and clearly a total lack of communication between management and staff. Before we stayed at the hotel we had received an email from guest services saying if we could make the stay memorable to let them know, I responded to them saying I wasn’t happy with the lack of professionalism and care from the manager and they apologised and gave a standard 20% discount they obviously give out for any lesser issue. They also said it wasn’t the fault of management the televisions were not working, that maybe the case, but it is their responsibility to be professional and have better standards in communication and care. The experience was very disappointing and could of stayed for a lot less somewhere else that was more comfortable and offers at least the basic standard of service.

Well-located hotel in the King Cross district. Conveniently close when arriving by Eurostar and Tube to visit London. Great welcome from the staff at both check-in and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and clean, well soundproofed, although when the room is on the street side you can hear the noise of cars. The bedding is comfortable. Very nice view from the high floors. We had a room on the 14th floor with a view over the city. The buffet breakfast was simply delicious (on a personal note, Nutella should be added to the waffles). I recommend this Pullman Hotel.

Awful thumping noise

Great hotel except for the awful noise in the public areas. Thumping mindless beat at full volume everywhere. No chance of a quiet drink or conversation here. So as long as you don't venture out of your room it's fine. Otherwise bring ear defenders and headache pills
