It wasn’t what i expected from ibis, the rooms smelled like cigarettes and not much of a breakfast variety and had an outdoor area which was quiet and peaceful and very nice staff but the hotel overall was more like ibis budget

HOTEL REFUSED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE!!

We stayed at hotel Ibis Nogent Sur-Marne from the 19th to 21st of June 2019. On the 20th of June, one of our colleague collapsed in the room 501. I called the reception asking him to call the ambulance. He stated that we will not need an ambulance and he will check the guest himself! HE IS NOT A MEDIC AND HE WANT TO CHECK OUR COLLEAGUE? Knowing the condition of our colleague, I decided to call the ambulance ourselves. The firemen and the ambulance did come and it took them more than 3 hours to stabilize our colleague whom apparently got a severe stroke. When they want to bring him down to the ambulance, the EMERGENCY EXIT NEXT TO THE ROOM 501 WAS NOT ACCESSIBLE! So they have to go around to use another emergency exit. The next morning I spoke about this incident to the reception and demanded to spoke to their General Manager. The General Manager appologize and promised ua to pay for the medical expenses and provided free stay for our other colleagues who will stay to accompany the other colleague in the hospital. Two days after that our colleague passed away. I contacted the hotel’ head office to report the incident and to take on their promise. I got a reply from their Direction Service Client - Guest Service Executive Department, Ms Stéphanie Fétis whom implying that my report is incorrect that they hotel did call the ambulance. And their did their best that night. I am quite surprise to receive this reply. Not only this hotel is not following health and safety rules, but they are also LIARS. There was only one man working at the reception whom does not speak a word of Engliah. We even went down stairs to asked him to call and he did nothing! If they did something how come the General Manager provide one free room and promised to cover the medical expenses? This means that the General Manager lied as well. I inform Ms Fetis that have the proof that I was the one who called the ambulance and she just ignored my email. I suppose this is the kind of customer service from Accor Group. From the lowest employee to their highest. Zero customer oriented service. May our colleague rest in peace. And may the hotel will get what they deserve in return.

Its a good hotel although its too far the sightseeing and little bite far from train/metro station and our room wasn't big but it was good hotel .thanks for 2 young ladies from Morocco for their help and friendly way .

We got a twin room upon arrival while the booked one was double. At reception we were told that there were no double rooms available. The room we got had a shower completely stuffy and obstructed, after the second visit to the reception we were given another room and, what a surprise, it was a... DOUBLE one!! Absolutely unprofessional and ignorant experience from the staff. The new room was comfy and much better so no complaints about that.
