It was very hot weather when we arrived. The staff were not very welcoming but did their job OK The room was air conditioned which was a boon. The restaurant is NOT part of the hotel although it is attached to the building and we found it below average for food and service. We stayed in 3 Ibis hotels this trip and Cholet was the least appealing

I needed a hotel that’s close enough to Puy du Fou, as they no longer had vacancies over the weekend. This was a nice and cozy hotel, that’s a 20 minute drive. Breakfast was quite decent, and all in all we enjoyed our short stay there.

This is a very nice hotel to stay at. The staff are very pleasant and the rooms clean. However, the bathroom was unsafe. There was no support bar on the wall to aid getting in/out of the bath which was very slippery. My husband who is slightly handicapped was unable to have a bath or a shower (which is over the bath). I am surprised health and safety laws in France do not address. I felt the room was grossly overpriced.

My wife and I stayed here on the peak Friday night of the last weekend in August. A very friendly welcome; the place looked very clean, indeed it could have been newly-decorated. Our 4th floor room was quiet and had a lovely bathroom. We slept well, and the breakfast the following morning was copious and well-organised for a Saturday in August. The only down side was the in-hotel "Marengo" restaurant offered a poor choice for anyone vegetarian (almost no protein), so, we went and ate at a hypermarket cafeteria that was still open. Apart from that slip-up, this (Cholet) was one of the best IBIS we have stayed in.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Puy du Fou and it is only a 20-minute journey by car to the Grand Parc. The hotel is on the outskirts of Cholet so easy to find and on the right side of town for a quick and easy departure to Puy du Fou. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and the room and en-suite were clean and bright and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is perfectly acceptable for the price paid. Although we didn't use it there is a restaurant attached to the hotel should you wish to have a meal.
