Nice (but untrained) staff

The guy who checked us in had only been there the week, and he was senior to the bar staff who were new that day. Everything seemed too difficult as the team just weren’t organised. The order for the dinner that our group pre-booked 4 days previously didn’t make it, so we had to re-order. Half an hour after that we were told that there was no lasagna, so many people had to choose something else. Then, half an hour later still, we were told that there was only one Margarita pizza, so some people had to change their orders for a second time. The first food arrived after about an hour and a half which was soggy and cold garlic bread, there were no chips, so sweet potato fries were substituted (I quite like them, but most of the group did not). Our room, that we thought was just a bit fausty, turned out to have a leak and most of the floor was sodden. Luckily we were able to change rooms. All up, not a great experience, despite a team who were clearly trying hard. Thankfully the company was excellent and made the event more than bearable.

Toilets have not been cleaned, carpet is dirty, floors in all hotel are sticky, breakfast is not tasty and very poor. Staff is frindly but not efficient. It is clarly not at 4 starts level hotel. I did not tested the swimming pool as I did not trusted the hygene.

Stayed at the Novotel Milton Keynes over the August B/H weekend for MotoGP at Silverstone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good at breakfast and evening dinner. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Nice swim in the pool after a long day was also very welcome. Have stayed here several times and would stay here again

I went to stay in the Novotel to meet a friend. It is an annual meet up but was interrupted last year by the pandemic. As always the staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts were ok but I had mine in my room as I am seriously disabled, and although they were late each day due to lack of staff the food was good. I did notice this time that they were more short staffed than before but they did everything possible to make the stay as good as possible. Due to Covid at the moment they are not cleaning the rooms every day so you jjst need to remember to ask for extra tea, coffee and milk etc or extra towels. The only negative experience was with housekeeping right at the end of our stay as we were getting ready to leave who barged into the room of my friend while she was in the middle of a phone call and was very rude to her, telling her she had to leave NOW! The member of staff then proceeeded to start moving some of my friend’s personal belongings including a £6000 violin and dumped them on the bed…We tried to explain (we were in adjoining rooms) that we had been allowed an extra hour for checkout as I am disabled, and that my friend was about to go and get a trolley to help me with my things, but this lady was not interested and continued to be extremely rude, ignoring both of us. My friend then moved her stuff into my room and the lady then wanted to come into my room, but I flatly refused and again explained I was disabled and we were in the process of leaving but I am on a mobility scooter and cannot manage my luggage myself, and I shut the door on her. We complained to reception who were very apologetic and took off the cost of the breakfasts and a big bottle of water I had had. However, inspite of this incident I would highly recommend this hotel and staff as being of a really good over standard and as we have been there many times before we have never had a problem until now, always enjoying our stays there.

Diana who works at your front desk was very kind and helpful to us. She is patient with my active son and took time to listen to our questions and answered them patiently. The lady (from housekeeping) who helped turning the sofa into a sofa bed for us was very quick and efficient too although it was her time to get off work. She was kind and friendly to my son too.
