Location was great. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Staff were polite. Chef didn’t turn up so no breakfast 😞 No warning given so delayed departure for breakfast for no reason. Talking to other people staying indicated chef often turns up late or not at all.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, only one night, last week. The hotel was spotless throughout. Bedding was most comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel including the breakfast cook were most friendly, possibly the friendliest overall found in any Accor hotel. Well done!

First impressions were a bit of a disappointment. However, with a realistic outlook, we would definitely stay here again. While the location is not in the glitzy part of town, it is only a block from Honeysuckle and far cheaper than other properties with a Honeysuckle address. The room was fairly basic, but had everything we needed. The fridge was small but kept things cold and was blessedly free from minibar clutter. The onsite security parking was excellent value compared to onstreet parking which is all metered. Our room faced the street but was still very quiet. 4 pillows on the bed instead of three would have been nice ... but we could have asked for an extra one. The mattress was the most comfortable of any hotel I have stayed in over many years of travel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

the entry had rubbish which was left for a 24hr period, the cleanliness in garden area was also filthy to the point we had to request a staff member clean the rubbish so we could eat breakfast without having rubbish by our side, restricted dinning for breakfast due to covid and a private booking which was disappointing.

Pleasant enough room for the price and location it is my go to in Newcastle I really only use the hotel to sleep. Long stays I would not recommend as the room is very basic however if you are after something for one or two nights it is clean and reasonable enough. It has an ironing board, hairdryer and a mini fridge (empty just milk) and tea and coffee facilities. The rooms are dated some of the desk panels are lifting. I assume this is from water damage from the kettle as you have limited PowerPoints. Those that like to charge your phone by your bed unless you have a long cable charger I recommend packing an extension cord as there is no PowerPoints by the bed just up by the window and of course in the bathroom. You do feel like you are on a cruise ship when in the bathroom and you need to step up into the bathroom The staff were adequate at check in not over the top friendly. acknowledgement of names goes a long way for me. They did keep some gifts behind the counter for me to save me taking them up to the room then back down again which was nice. I am a member of Accor and I received my complimentary welcome drinks although they did forget the second drink which I found strange as we were the only two people in the bar or the lobby. Also Received two complimentary waters and some shortbread cookies. Breakfast was good coffee took a while to come out again I was the only one in the restaurant so not sure what was happening that my food arrived before my coffee did maybe they were busy with checkout. I could not see from where I was sitting. I attached a copy of the available breakfast menu in the photos.

Situated close to light rail and Honeysuckle precinct, great to get around. Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Nice little bar area for a drink n the evening. Short walk and rail to Stockton ferry.

Staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating with simple and reasonable requests. Staff took very good care of us. Room was clean and comfortable. I really loved the 1litre kettle. It was cute.

Check in and out was very friendly and quick, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful and the bed comfortable. Air conditioning was good too! Breakfast was a reasonable selection. A good place to stay, close to the train station.

The level of service received during this stay (which was not my first) was below that I have previously received. Despite booking last year I was treated like I was not expected, which as an accor member, I found disappointing, one of the lights in the bathroom did not work throughput the entire stay, and at time the room had a poor quality smell which I suspect come from the aircon. This hotel can, and has in the past, done better

We stayed on the 4th floor in a street facing room. Soundproofing was excellent as were the blackout curtains resulting in a good nights sleep. The coffee and hot chocolate at breakfast were fantastic. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Stayed here before and will stay again.

We stayed 3 night after Xmas at the Ibis Newcastly in order to visit family and friends in the Newcastle area. The accommodation isn't spectacular but it is clean and comfortable - and $90 per night. Very friendly staff and free parking - couldn't ask for more.

Centrally located in Newcastle business district and thoroughfare with basic but comfortable room with open area in reception or outside for work, breakfast and dinner which provides additional space outside of room. Breakfast was a good spread of hot and cold, and a good selection for dinner

I received a great deal including breakfast & parking so it suited by purpose for travel. Just a couple of small issues - cob webs on the ceiling & light fittings, breakfast was cold & car park too small to accomodate the no of people staying.

As an Accor member I thought it was good value for a Friday and Saturday night . Centrally located to Restaurant and Hotels all within walking distance. The ground floor staff at front desk bar area could not do enough for you.The young lady who cooks and works in restaurant very pleasant .Much appreciated

The staff here were excellent. Ibis is toward the lower end of the hotel ratings but we really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff, good restaurant at reasonable prices and clean rooms. Well done Ibis.

I stayed there a week ago and was very impressed with the level of service and presentation shown by all the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel if you are wanting to stay right in the middle of Newcastle and visit the restaurants in honeysuckle.

The reception staff were beautiful and friendly and I was greeted with a fantastic smile and felt very welcome. Nothing was a problem and the check in experience was easy and speedy. The same staff also managed the bar & restaurant at the same time and handled this perfectly

We were quite happy with our stay at the Ibis Newcastle . Rebecca in the restaurant gave us outstanding service and was very friendly . We believe small things like the mini fridge that had broken shelves inside it which made it difficult to store items as every time the door was opened items would fall out ,could have been replaced previously at very little expense to the hotel . Room was otherwise tidy and clean. We booked on the Accor web site being members and were surprised that even though we had prepaid for our stay we were charged parking fees on arrival which were not stated anywhere on the booking page . Although agreeing to pay these fees the hotel receptionist insisted that we pay on arrival before proceeding to our room and insisted on ID which I found very strange . She would not allow us to the parking fees to our room account and pay at checkout which we usually do with other Accor hotels . I have been an Accor member since the mid 1990’s and have never experienced this before. I was also asked for ID and when questioned why I was told “we are very big on this here “ and we are sorry if you are offended . I wasn’t offended but the whole matter could have been handled better. Staying at this hotel again? I would have to give that serious thought!,!
