I stayed at Novotel Geneva for 5 days, and overall it was okay. The best thing about it is definitely the location — it’s right by the train station, so getting around was really easy. What let it down for me was the housekeeping. Condiments weren’t topped up at all during the stay, the bed cover wasn’t changed even though it had a visible mark on it, and the rubbish on the table was left there. Even a dirty glass I used stayed in the room the whole time. The hotel itself is fine, but the housekeeping really needs improving.

The experience was average. The buffet isn’t worth it, and the hotel’s only advantages are its cleanliness and nice location. Everything else is ordinary and outdated, especially the gym and the sauna

Location is good insofar as 5 minute walk from Cornavin Station, Lake and restaurants, but in a fairly nondescript and seedy area. Cleanliness standards very good. Executive room has most of the things you need, however, mattress too firm and pillows too small and hard and carpet/curtains./balcony tired. Bathroom OK, but poor use of space and no-one likes a shower over the bath. Good variety for breakfast, but might be nice to ring the changes on the hot items as it gets a bit samey. Most staff helpful, but things allowed to run out at breakfast and periods in the evening when the barman disappears completely. Pricewise, not as expensive as some of the other options in town.
