We stayed 21–26 Oct 2025 in rooms 137 & 139. The front-desk team were consistently polite and seemed to be trying their best, but the basics fell short and I wasn’t contacted despite raising issues during the stay and by email. Reaching anyone by phone was impossible—calls from the room went unanswered each day. Housekeeping was a concern: the hotel doesn’t appear to have double blankets; we were managing with a double bedsheet, but that one remaining sheet was removed, and a dirty glass with soiled utensils was left in the bathroom. We asked for cleaning late afternoon on a particular day but despite asking twice, it did not happen. The wellness area opens only from 15:00, which limits use, and the “fitness center” is extremely limited and tired for a Mercure. Overall, this didn’t meet brand expectations. My suggestions: ensure phones are staffed and answered, tighten housekeeping SOPs (no dirty items left; don’t remove guest bedding in use), stock proper double blankets, and review staffing/management so follow-ups actually happen. I appreciate the courteous front-desk team, but the property feels understaffed or poorly managed.

We stayed 21–26 Oct. The front-desk team were consistently polite and clearly trying, but the experience didn’t live up to the Mercure brand. First, getting help was nearly impossible: nobody picks up the phone. We tried calling every single day from the rooms and couldn’t reach anyone. When issues did get reported in person and later by email, nobody ever got back to us. Housekeeping was a letdown. We asked for cleaning in the late afternoon, but it didnt happen. We asked for a double blanket and were told none exists in the hotel. We made do with a double bedsheet—until housekeeping took away the one remaining sheet we were using. On top of that, they left a dirty glass inside the bathroom with soiled utensils placed inside the glass. It’s hard to feel comfortable after that. The wellness timing also isn’t guest-friendly (sauna from 15:00 only), and the so-called “fitness center” feels like an overreach—more a corner with a couple of tired machines than anything resembling a gym. For the rate and the brand, expectations are higher. Overall, no call-backs despite complaints, phones that never get answered, and underwhelming housekeeping made this stay disappointing. I don’t fault the people at the desk—they’re doing their best—but the place feels understaffed or poorly managed. With better staffing, basic inventory (like proper double blankets), and actual follow-through on guest feedback, this hotel could match its location. As it stands, it doesn’t.

Spent one night in an accessible room and was thoroughly impressed! The room was spacious, well-designed, and perfectly equipped for accessibility needs. Great location, comfortable bed although small, and spotless facilities. Highly recommend!

It was a pleasant stay, Olena at the front desk was really very helpful she went out her way to explain us all things we can enjoy around Garmisch and I am very thankful to her. She even booked us a place in one of the beer gardens just behind the hotel. Will definitely come back someday
