An ok stay in avery safe hotel across the road from a major shopping centre. Checkin easy but didn't receive much info on the hotel eg meal times, amenities, airport shuttle etc. Rooms quite large but a bit dated. Large bathroom with separate shower & bath. Kitchenette but with no milk. Restaurant does buffet breakfast & dinner. Dinner was ok - malva cake was my best dish. Breakfast much better - more variety, hotter, eggs to order. Small pool with outdoor seating - some in shade. Air-conditioned roo m off reception for waiting. Shuttle to airport was an 'uber' type for 259rand which was fair. Overall ok.

Very relaxed and peaceful location.The beauty of the hotel is the huge mall across from the hotel.I literally walk across to the mall to shop.The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious.Ample parking.The ladies at the front desk are the friendliest

We had a short but pleasant stay at Mercure Hotel Bedfordview. The location is quite convenient—though not directly by the airport, it took us less than 15 minutes to get there, which was perfect for our needs. We stayed in an apartment, which, while not the most well-maintained, was still comfortable and functional for our brief stay. One downside was that the AC was only in the living room, so we had to leave the bedroom door open for airflow, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay with easy access to the airport, but some improvements in room maintenance and cooling could make it even better.

I recently attempted to make a reservation at Mercure Hotel Bedfordview, and the experience was nothing short of frustrating. The reservation process was handled poorly, with unresponsive staff and confusing communication. The email addresses provided for inquiries or follow-ups were directed to individuals with the most complex and difficult-to-spell names, making it nearly impossible to reach the right person. It's hard to believe that a business in the hospitality industry, which should prioritize customer service and convenience, still operates this way. I sincerely hope they improve their system, as this level of inefficiency leaves a lot to be desired.

The location of the hotel was very good. I was told by several people that it was in a very safe neighbourhood. The huge Eastgate mall was nearby. It was only a 15-min drive away from the airport. The room was very big, with a decent size kitchen. There was both a shower and a bath in the toilet. However the room was really old, in desperate need of renovations. It was quite clean though. There was no lift to the first floor (the floor above the ground floor). Overall it was a pleasant overnight stay. The price was also very reasonable.
