On arrival I was greeted by a staff member by the name of SHARIN .. her welcome to Novatel was above average , she smiled and her help was amazing .. thankyou Shirin and Novatel .. I am not someone that usually writes reviews but today I feel it’s important to tell someone who cares about their employers

The Most Ideal Hotel for Concerts!

With having two concerts to two of the biggest names in music on in the same week,I was eager to stay on site to avoid the train chaos. I’ve stayed at Novotel previously for concerts and I’ve appreciated its proximity to the venues. I got a free upgrade to a deluxe suite with a balcony and spa bath which was great and made for a great space to get ready for my concert! There was also a cute pop up op in the lobby for the artists playing in the area. After my concert finished at Accor, it only took me 10 mins to get out of the venue and back into the hotel. I found a free zooper dooper freezer in the lobby which was great after singing all night long.I witnessed the mad rush to the trains when I got back to my room and was thankful I booked here. The special event pricing can be expensive but I understand why it’s the price that it is. I did find that I did hear all of the music going on in the clubs below but provided they were pre concerts and after party vibes,the music promptly ended at 12pm and my concert ended at 11pm so I was still awake and was able to sleep fine after 12. I did have a little bit of trouble finding a good pillow that I liked but the spare pillow in the wardrobe was helpful! I am always kind of weirded out by the red splatter curtain choice but it’s a quirk I’ve gotten used to. I’ll be back here for my next concert and am keen to stay here yet again :)

What a colossal stuff up before I had even checked in to the hotel, I called reception? whilst on the train to the hotel, the gentleman said, I can't miss it, it's directly across the road, I asked the lady who was looking at cars coming to park, " where the entrance " she pointed down to where there was a street party, I went to ask the security guards how do I get to the hotel lobby, they sent me back in the same direction to where the carpark lady was, I asked the young chef, he sent me past the hotel reception/ check in, there's no signs saying Novatel guests check in here, on a day when there's around 90,000 people circulating the area, when I found where I needed to go, the music was louder than any rock concert/ nightclub I've attended, at check in was a trainee i gave her my booking documentation, booking number and driver's licence with my full name, she seemed to struggle with this task and called over someone to help, the lift wasn't easy to work out, I was on level 9, it went to level 10, then level three then ground level, then to my level, it gets worse or better depending on how you look at it? I get to my room that I've booked only for myself and paid around $800 for the night, upon entry i see the lounge is folded out with clothes on it i see other people's bags and personal items scattered around the room i am totally gobsmacked and very disappointed, and it takes them ages to sort this problem out, meanwhile I am missing part of the main reason for my stay is the NRL grand final, the duty management offer two complimentary alcoholic beverages i take it to the bar, Kate the bar lady when I ask for a Chardonnay she says it's only for sauvignon Blanc and serves it to me in a plastic cup , I ordered a $77 bottle of pinot Nois and had it served in plastic cups, on the 9th floor ,my room was far from sound proof I couldn't sleep until everyone had left the street, then to find out there's no black out blinds to the room, the lights from the stadiums belted in as did the morning sun, 15 minutes before check out, I had housekeeping belting on the door numerous times, I yelled out numerous times that I've got 15 minutes left and I had to answer the door half-dressed to explain to the man in a suit holding the clip board i am entitled to stay until 11am upon check out the young receptionist told me I owe nothing on my room and I've been refunded the $100 for the inconvenience, well my bank statement says differently and I'd already left the area by train to dispute this, this is not my last review about this and I've got photos and videos to back it up

Would not recommend with kids.

I booked months out to take the kids to an NRL game. In the booking I requested a room with a view of the stadium. When we checked in, I asked if our room had a view of the stadium. The girl at reception checked for a minute, then replied “yes you have a great view of the stadium”. The boys were so excited! We got in the elevator, got in the room and….. a view of a roof. So disappointing for the kids. The worst part though, is the noise from the Brewery below. If you’re staying with kids, beware they won’t get any sleep. It’s like the DJ is plying outside your window. So disappointing. Terrible night sleep, and a long journey home with everyone exhausted and tired.

L'hotel è molto lontano dal centro che è raggiungibile con i mezzi, è necessario cambiare 2/3 linee di treno suburbano (non c'è la metro). E' un hotel di medio/alto livello che non consiglio a chi è interessato a visitare la città, ma al limite solo a chi è in viaggio d'affari. Ho trovato la hall un pò troppo caotica tra fila al check-in e viv vai di gente, il personale un pò troppo freddo e sbrigativo. Comunque l'hotel è moderno, la camera piccola ma modernamente arredata e nel complesso essenziale. La colazione di qualità medio/bassa rispetto ad altri hotel della stessa categoria.
