We had a lovely stay here. Our room was clean and reasonably sized. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff. The power outlets next to the bed were a bonus. The hotel was close to the trams, making it easy to get to the train or bus station. The only downside was that the pool was deeper in the center and had an odd shape. Overall, it was a good stay.

Convenient and comfortable hotel at a reasonable price

I stayed two nights at this hotel, which offers all the usual advantages of Accor/Novotel properties: a convenient, easily accessible location, underground parking, and a varied breakfast with a nice selection. We received excellent advice on things to see and do in Zurich from a very energetic and helpful staff member. As everywhere, the quietness of the place also depends on the other guests — large, lively families from faraway places can sometimes affect the tranquility a bit. Still, this hotel is well connected by tram lines 4 and 8, making it easy to reach all parts of Zurich without any traffic issues. Overall, a very convenient choice.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past, but I get the impression that it is gradually getting worse. The location is fine and the hotel rooms are reasonably sized but the level of service is well below the standard the I would expect from a Novotel / 4 star hotel. The check-in desk staff were both rude and unhelpful and the breakfast is poor quality with only tinned fresh fruit. The gym is rather small and with only one upright bike and one running machine it was difficult to get a workout in as it was quite busy, even very early in the morning. There is also no cleaning product in the gym only paper towel which is far from hygienic.

While the space is limited, we understand how important it is to have access to functional and clean equipment. Convenient stay for families visiting Zurich

Our family had a lovely stay at the Novotel Zurich West. We have two young children and were able to utilize the family rate to have a second room for our kids at 50% off. The rooms were well appointed and it seems the main bedroom area had been recently updated. The bathrooms seemed a bit more dated but they were functional. We appreciated the hot water kettle and the mini-fridge as well. We were in Zurich during a heat wave so we definitely appreciated the AC. My kids also enjoyed the pool downstairs. There is a COOP just across the park (5 min walk) and we picked up snacks and breakfast items. The tram station was also conveniently located and we were able to get to the Old Town Zurich very easily. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very smart hotel with pleasant foyer and friendly staff. Decent bar and breakfast was fine. Room was decent and clean. Location wise not inspiring in and of itself but to be fair conveniently located for tram stop very close by with regular and fast link into the centre (max 15 mins). Train station 10 min walk away with 15 min journey to airport too.
