Terrible and terrible service from Booking.com

We arrived at this hotel and left after about 10 min although we were booked for two nights. The room was dirty and there was urine all over the toilet seats plus showers were dirty. On top of this there were young men hanging out the front of the hotel and also outside our rooms window. I was there with my family and my two young daughters did not feel comfortable and said that they would not go to toilet on their own. This hotel is NOT suitable for a family. I was told I would get a full refund but they have not responded and Booking.com are also a complete rip off as they take no responsibility and not only have I not received a refund they have also charged me £80 to cancel. I will not be using booking.com again. I have stayed in many hostels and this is the worse one yet.

Poor, wouldn’t recommend staying here, dirty bedding - hairs in sheets, no towels despite them being listed as included. Overpriced for the condition of the rooms and facilities. One of the men working on reception was very rude and hostile. I wouldn’t feel safe staying here if travelling alone. There was a power cut. The room was small with a tiny window and there is a vent in the wall that lets freezing cold air into the room so it gets very cold. The duvet provided was far too thin for this, especially with a hole in the wall and it being -6 degrees outside. Disappointing stay, we were only stopping here for a couple of nights as moving house but was the kind of place where just when you think it couldn’t get worse, it did :(

Room stank of smoke and was unclean. Abandoned cars in the car-park with several dodgy people hanging around. We were on a budget, booked for two nights - figured it could not be too bad..we were wrong, disgusting rooms. One of our party was from Canada and he could not believe this place was allowed to operate. Needless to say we did not use the showers, avoided the breakfast and stayed somewhere else for our second night - the cost of which was not massively different but the quality was a million times better. DO NOT STAY HERE with a family, Avoid at all costs, you are better off sleeping in your car - but not in the car park of this place.

Appalling. Simply, appalling. OK, I guess, the reason you are reading this post is because you are on a limited budget, like myself, I suppose. This is a cheap "so called" hotel. 35 or so dollars/ euros or whatever so you obviously don't expect much. But... There are no towels, no hand soap and, ehm.. no toilet seat. I tried to complain but the receptionist don't speak english. Bit unusual for a hotel on the Swiss/ French border. Anyway. Do yourself a favour. Get a cheap hostel. Or any hostel. Or just go and sleep on a main train station. Or the airport. Or if the weather permits, sleep in the park. You won't regret it. Just stay clear of this *#@*##@*"*@ hole.

This was the worst hotel I have ever visited. The showers were dirty and toilets were blocked. The breakfast were very poor and there was a little seating area. When you went for the supermarket nearby in the night there were no lights on the road to the hotel.
