There seemed to be a bit of confusion around my booking, where I had an early check in but it still took quite some time to check in at the desk. However, really enjoyed the location and the rooms itself. Loved the breakfast, great options and very filling. Staff were really lovely to deal with. Would have appreciated better advertising about the lack of car parks.

We stayed one night at the Novotel and the stay was a bit stressful, but enjoyable in the end. We chose the Novotel as you advertise that you have a charger for Electric Vehicles. I called twice to check the EV charger would charge our BMW i3 and it was confirmed with 2 different staff members that it would. Upon arrival we discovered the charge did not charge our car but just the older style leaf. And no staff could tell us where to charge our car. We eventually called the Hamilton EV and they told us where to charge. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. We enjoyed the location and wandered out Saturday night to find somewhere to eat and found the atmosphere busy and fun lots of great places to eat with in walking distance.

I spoke to Mr H. after you checked out regarding the issues you encountered with the service around the use of our electric car chargers. It was disappointing to hear you were misinformed about the type of charger we supplied at the hotel and certainly highlights further training that needs to be conducted. Please note I am currently compiling a list of the cars that work with this charger so we can inform guests correctly when they enquire. It is important to note that because our parking is extremely limited and subject to availability (cannot be booked) we do not advertise that we supply car parking or able to cater to electric car charging. Rest assured I have spoke to Accor Procurement manager who is in the process of finding out any updates we have planned for our hotel electric charging stations across New Zealand. I have been informed these are still used by several types of car and not just the Nissan Leaf. The Hyundai and Mitsubishi plug in hybrids electric fleet (eg. Hyundai Ioniq, which is a relatively new car and still in production) is another major car that can utilize this generation of chargers. I am still awaiting an update from the Procurement manager to get further insight into how the future will look for what we will be offering electric car drivers. I can certainly appreciate this is something EV drivers take into consideration when deciding on where to stay when travelling. On top of supplying power outlets and two electric car chargers we also offer complimentary car parking for all Hybrid and EV vehicles. This costs $25.00 a night for non EV Vehicles. I know Accor is looking forward to making further announcements are our commitment to sustainable initiatives but I am not at liberty to speculate what this may be at this current time. I am glad you enjoyed our central location and found somewhere great nearby for dining in the evening. This is certainly something we love about the hotel aswell! In regards to the sun in the restaurant, these were taken down for a couple of days to clean the blinds. These have now been put back in place but I know exactly what you mean as I too noticed this whilst the blinds were being dry cleaned. The stay was great, the service was awesome!! The only issue for me was the option of paying for parking each day or trying to find parking on the road. My stay was for 5 nights, Not impressed given the cost to stay should be free parking if staying more than 3 nights.

You put me into a room, with a disabled shower, so in the morning after having my shower the floor was wet, I slipped and injured my back on the floor. Very unhappy to be given the room.

Every staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the room attendants was friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional. Special mention must be made of Poppy who served us in the restaurant and bar area. Not only was she very pleasant and enjoyable to chat to as she served us, but from observing her interactions with not only other guests but also her fellow colleagues shows she is exceptional staff member on every level and such an asset to your team.

Anniversary with my wife and spent the weekend in Hamilton . The unit was very spacious and was nice and clean . Ordered room service , was disappointed with the food as it didn't seem it be very fresh The staff were very helpful and front desk was very efficient when booking in and arriving Enjoyed the quick exit on the Sunday morning when leaving , thank you
