Nice service by front desk and some lovely treats as Accor Limitless Gold member which I appreciated very much. Comfy bed and lovely hot shower. All we needed for our stay. Opposite World Square. Would stay again.

Stayed for one night as I have done several times before as it is a nice hotel and convenient for Chinatown and World Square and only a short walk to Town Hall for transport, theatre and the QVB for shopping.

We very much appreciated the room upgrade. We have stayed at IBIS World Square on a number of occasions and another great stay. Customer service was great. Although rooms are small they are clean and have almost everything than you need.

The hotel is very central.......very close to all transport . Room is a bit small but adequate...Shower recess is badly designed....central drain is too high so a lot of water would spill onto the bathroom floor..Good value meal options nearby.....excellent food courts in Chinatown....make sure you go to the food courts because we found the stand alone restaurants to be quite expensive .

With all the accor hype about COVID safe cleaning, I found some crumbs on the bench and carpet. This makes me wonder if the room was as clean as it was claimed. I booked a standard room but as a gold member, I automatically get a room category upgrade subject to availability. When I checked in, the staff were friendly but I wasn't told if the upgrade had happened or not, and it wasn't like there was a queue. A budget hotel shouldn't mean budget service.

Great affordable place to stay close to everything. Although the hotel was undergoing some renovation & the bar & restaurant were closed due to covid the staff made it a welcoming place to stay. Will come & stay again.

Amazing value for money. A basic facility but clean,comfortable and all you need - Nice bathroom, T.V and Coffee and Tea. The location is fantastic for pubs, restaurants, theatre and shopping mall across the road. The girl on the front desk - Sarah, I believe was extremely friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival found that the front counter and bar area was being renovated and the reception area was very uninviting. Could have been made better by installing some screening. Mohamed was courteous and we checked in with a minimum of fuss. Upon arrival in the room found that the windows had dirty smudges and "prints" on them. Desk was also very dirty. Housekeeping was no where good enough for normal times, let alone Covid times. I rang reception and was moved to a different room. New room didn't have towels and I needed another pillow. I rang Mohamed who took care of this - but it took a while. I was later to learn that Mohamed was on his own servicing all guests in the Hotel and had to leave Reception unattended for quite some time. I know because I went to reception and had to wait for attendance for ~10 minutes. 2 other guests also came and went during this time and phone rang a couple of times. I rate the "Service" poor, however when Mohamed was available he delivered quite good service - problem was he was alone. All in all, pretty poor management of the property.....

Worst Stay ever

Ibis Sydney World Square is now a hotel for the homeless. Paying guests are treated like second class citizens. Every time you leave the hotel you are harassed by guests staying there asking for cigarettes or money. I had the misfortune of staying for 4 nights during that time my room was never cleaned. I had to clean my own room and get fresh towels from reception. As a priority member I usually get a bottle of water and a voucher for one drink at the bar this was not offered. The lifts and hallways smelt of unwashed bodies. Reception staff were pleasant but I will never stay at this hotel again

We stayed here several years ago, and were very impressed this time by the renovations. Our room was small but very adequate for our needs. Good bathroom with great shower. Wifi worked really well. Excellent location- we caught the train from Newcastle, and Central Station is about 8 minutes walk away. Lots of really interesting restaurants of various ethnicities in the area. Staff could not have been any more friendly or helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at another Ibis hotel. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. As usual the rooms were clean and fresh. Staying in the Sydney CBD, I got to have some great meals nearby. Whenever travelling. Ibis is my go to for a good nights rest.

I booked my room with guaranteed late checkout and it come with a cost, it was not updated in my reservation. After they checked with reservation team, they realized that it was a mistake from the reservation team. They updated my late check out for me. And I request them to check with my colleague's booking as well. We are taking the same flight on departure day and I booked her late check out as well. The hotel team refused to check for me as it was not my name, even I show them the confirmation number and the room is guaranteed by my personal credit card. They insist I show them the confirmation letter. I explained that my colleague is out for appointment and I booked the room by using her email address, therefore I do not the confirmation letter with me. The hotel team just don't care and keep on asking me to show them the confirmation letter. I was pissed, and I asked 'what if I manage to get the confirmation letter and its stated that I booked the late check-out? Tell me what are you going to do?'. Surprised me that the General Manager told me 'if you are going to talk to me in this way, I'm not going to check you in!'. I have no choice and call back to Singapore and ask from my other colleague who is in office for the confirmation letter. I show them with evidence and they apologize with 2 bottles of water in room. The GM asked me to send her the confirmation letter as she wants to share with HR and give some training for the staff. I sent on the day immediately and it was no response from her. 2 days later, I saw the GM at lobby, and I asked her if she received my email, her reaction was... 'oh you've sent'...

If you are visiting Sydney for business or otherwise, IBIS World Square is a great place to stay; it is central to many important places in the city, it is situated at the World Square mall which is great for shopping. The rooms are large and comfortable, the buffet breakfast is worth the money.

Pedi um quarto silencioso, e a atendente, como todos pouco atenciosa, nos colocou na frente da porta do elevador. O quarto familiar minúsculo, não tinha como abrir as malas. E ficava em cima da casa de máquinas, uma vista horrível, fiquei preocupada com tanta máquina tão perto... Ar condicionado fraco e desligava ao sairmos, então, ao retornarmos, o quarto estava uma sauna! Pedi para arrumarem, mas fim de semana não tinha ninguém...por fim, um dos elevadores quebrou. Péssimo!

Really enjoyed my time in Sydney, the ibis world square is really great for value, this time I came with the family, when booking the room staff were very helpful and accommodating, the room was just right for the 3 nights stay. I will however mention that you might need to rethink your shower as the drain was a little small and had a tendency to overflow out of the shower, maybe put a higher ridge where the shower door is. Also housekeeping didn't empty the rubbish bin. Other than that it was a really great stay, will always try to stay at this hotel when in Sydney.

I stayed for 2 nights during peak season in Syd ie week before Xmas. Inadvertently when booking I somehow had managed to get my dates wrong with result being paying for 3 nights not 2. I brought this Lucas attention when checking in and wouldve been happy with a credit to use on my next trip in the future but instead he got GM approval right there and then for it to be refunded back to my card (which it was that same day) so no loose ends re my oversight. This kind of service/customer care is exceptional not to mention great value/quality of the stay itself (even the night manager was able to heat some food up for in their microwave downstairs). I have stayed elsewhere in the past as I travel to Sydney monthly but will certainly be staying here from now on; thank you!

1. We booked our stay at Ibis Sydney World Square in advance and paid for 9am early check in. But when we got to the hotel at 8am, we were told, to our great disappointment, there was no room available yet. Huh? But we paid for this, right? And then, we got checked in. Ok. 2. Day 2 of our stay - we left the hotel at around 10am and spent the entire day sightseeing. We left the room for housekeeping to clean. When we returned at around 9pm, we were shocked and surprised to see our door fully opened! It's a good thing we locked our bags. 3. For the past 2 days, we've been hearing shouting in the other room. And then banging on our door! We tried calling the front desk but we couldn't connect. It was a good 45 minutes before we were able to get through. The guest in the other room, 702, was banging on our door, creating a huge disturbance. It was really scary. We were transferred 2 times before we felt secure. 4. The hotel sent us an apology letter, offering us free dinner - on the day we were checking out. Haha 5. Only pro of this hotel is the location. 6. Disappointed as this hotel is with Accor. We don't get it.

We haven't stayed here before, but would stay again. The staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms were clean & modern. We didn't enjoy dinner at the restaurant - there was not a lot of variety & they had run out of both desserts by 6.30pm! Breakfast both mornings was great, we really enjoyed the outdoor area overlooking Goulburn Street.

The stay at the ibis was terrific in all aspects except parking .. traffic and parking in Sydney’s cbd is problematic . On arrival we parked in the shopping centre across the road which cost $150 for less than 24 hours .. parking assistance was not offered
