Great stay and hotel

Stayed here after a hiatus of 5 years due to covid and factors. Hotel has had a refresh and looks good, restaurant area is smart and inviting. Cooked breakfast is great, plenty of options and they even offer gluten free and soya milk at no extra cost. The rooms are smart and well presented, some drawers would be handy, but that’s only gripe I have, shower room is good size and hot water, and rooms are warm even in winter (the in room fan was most useful!) All staff are friendly but must say Tracie was above and beyond, very friendly and chatty. Dogs are allowed in rooms and plenty of walks nearby. River Plym behind OceanBMW is lovely. Plenty of parking and well presented. Will be booking again for next summer. Hotel located literally off the A38 at Leigham/Estover turn off, and easy to get to anywhere

Not cheap compared to others right in town, cramped if more than one in the room. However, clean and comfortable bed.

Friendly staff, great free parking area. Reasonable bar area with a standard budget motel food menu. Rooms are clean and comfortable but normal Ibis micro size. The lights blazing on full all night are a downer as the curtains still let it creep through.

What an odd little place - tucked just away from the main road on the fringes of a retail / industrial area - not is not quite what I have in mind when I think "IBIS". It is more of a motel by design, rather than a traditional hotel - the rooms are all directly accessed from paths and walkways and are separate from the main building which houses the reception and bar area. My room faced the car park and the main road but noise was not as issue - apart from some wannabe daredevil motorcyclists one evening who luckily just passed along quickly. The room was interesting. As the rooms all face onto a walkway, the only window also faced onto the walkway. So if you needed any privacy the curtains need to be drawn, making the room dark - they were effective at cutting out the light. But they looked old and tired and I did notice a number of rooms have blinds now replacing the curtains. The room itself was adequate rather than large but the bed was comfortable. The decoration was, in my view, idiosyncratic with some odd light for the style and size of the room. However they all worked. The bathroom appears to have been modernised recently and the shower was effective although a 'grab handle' in the shower would have been useful. If the room decor could be refreshed this would have been a very pleasant room. The reception area and bar / dining area were all clean and worked well - just one oddity. The self service breakfast operated on a 'one-way' system to prevent customers approaching from both ends. However the first thing on the counter are the spreads, jams and marmalades before you've picked up a plate. Then comes the actual selection of continental & cooked breakfast items. Then came the bread & toast at the other end (with croissants hidden round the corner!). It would just make life a tad easier if the butter etc. were presented next to the bread & toast at than end. I know, pernickety but sometimes it's the little things. Lastly the staff were unfailingly polite & helpful which goes a long way in the hospitality industry.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry you weren't entirely happy with the design of our rooms. The entire hotel was recently refurbished to the Ibis standard. There are pull down blinds in every room, designed to allow light in whilst ensuring privacy. I am wondering if the one in your room was left too high and you didn't notice it. Unfortunately the flow of the breakfast is limited by the position of the built in chiller and hot plates. We do recognise that is not the best arrangement. I am pleased you found the staff helpful and hope to welcome you again

Great little hotel. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, clean and well presented rooms and eating areas. I liked the homely design of the small lounge area and the booth style layout in the dining area.. Very good pint of Guinness. Vegetarian food was very tasty. Clean towels and nice smelling shampoo and soap. Bed was comfortable (mattress and topper) and room heater worked fine. No overbearing traffic noise in the room I was in - facing the embankment. Beats any Premier Inn or Travelodge experience I have had so far.

Un posto dove sicuramente non tornerei per il prezzo speso. Camere molto brutte, qualità del cibo nella media. Con 100€ ci trovi di meglio. L'unica cosa accettabile sono i bagni che erano nuovi, ed il parcheggio auto. I dipendenti non erano adatti tranne il loro manager.
