For the last 10 years, I have stayed at the Sofitel Melbourne when I visit Melbourne - it’s always a wonderful experience. However, I feel compelled to write a review after my most recent stay, because it was simply out of this world. I arrived at the hotel at midday, and despite the hotel having been fully booked the night before, they had prioritised getting my room ready early. I am a Platinum Accor member, but hadn’t expected any kind of room upgrade given how busy the hotel was - so I was shocked when they said not only had I been upgraded, but I’d been upgraded to a Prestige Suite on Level 47, and was told they “wanted to spoil me”. The room was on the corner and utterly spectacular, with a huge separate bedroom and living area, and incredible views. I received welcome chocolate and wine, and loved the turndown service later. The Club Lounge was excellent as always, and I especially enjoyed the pancakes for breakfast! I was visiting Melbourne for an event, but found myself not wanting to leave my room - and luckily for me, they even gave me a 3pm late checkout! Thank you to the incredible staff for an experience I will never forget. The room was incredible, but it’s the amazing staff who always make my stay super special here. You all set the standard for hotels everywhere, and I can’t wait to come back again soon :-)

What a wonderful hotel! The staff were so welcoming and made everything feel easy from the start. Our room was super comfortable and spotless, and we felt relaxed right away. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was amazing—great drinks, delicious food, and views that made the whole experience even better. We had such a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

From the moment I stepped into reception I received impeccable service. It was lovely to receive a glass of champagne on arrival. My room was on the 49th floor with breathtaking views . Stunning room that was spotless. Chocolate in room and then pillow chocolates left in room where they had prepared the room for sleeping eg shutters closed, slippers by the bed. Luxurious sheets, comfortable bed and quiet. The Atrium Bar and cocktails very reasonably priced especially spicy margaritas. Breakfast in No 35 was beautiful and inclusive of different cultures and dietary needs eg separate gluten free area. An unforgettable experience

Great location, near everything. We were on the 49th floor and the room has amazing views with all the city lights at night. Nice and quiet and the room itself has everything you need. The service was fantastic from check in, bar service, front desk and the breakfast. Could not fault anything, They are a 5 star hotel for a reason
