My favourite Melbourne hotel. We have stayed in many Melbourne hotels and keep coming back to the Sofitel . The high level of service , the excellent breakfast in club Sofitel and the upgrades are all very much appreciated. We love the location, the comfortable quiet rooms and the efficiency of staff.

The Sofitel consistently gets it right. The customer service is excellent especially if you have Club Sofitel access. The staff are attentive and friendly and the service exceeds the other Melbourne hotels within the same price range. Food in the club is good and there is a good happy hour. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and each room has a fantastic view over Melbourne and its surrounds. Close to restaurants and shops. We definitely keep coming back to the Sofitel because it’s the best. I just hope they don’t abandon the nightly turn down service. There didn’t seem to be one this time and arriving into a darkened room upon checking in wasn’t ideal. Otherwise 10/10.

Very Poor Food and Beverage. No pool or spa and dated bathrooms.

The staff here are great. The food and beverage is not. Only 1 crowded restaurant serving a set menu. You cannot buy a decent coffee in the entire hotel. Sofis lounge was closed for our 4 night stay. You are dependent on the food court in the building which is basically closed on weekends. No pool or spa and breakfast on the Sunday was an overcrowded zoo. Our coffees never arrived. Finally - the bathrooms are a shower over the bath from the 1970s. Very disappointing over all.

Weekend trip to Melbourne for the footy, theatre and dinner. We selected Sofitel on Collins as we are Accor Plus members. Right from check-in everything felt seamless. Staff friendly. Comfortable, well equipped room. Clean and tidy. Slept like a baby on the king bed. No noise heard from the huddle and bustle of Melbourne city however we were high on the 49th floor. Highly recommend.
