Practical but not glamorous

Average conference facilities and support team. Friendly and welcoming restaurant team. Tired room but reasonably clean. Room air conditioner smelled wet and moldy. A practical place to stay but not glamorous. Friendly front desk staff. A place worked hard needing a refresh.

I travel alot for work and stayed at mecure the staff were very friendly and efficient and the room and facilities were great felt like a little holiday while working. One of the best experiences out of the many places around australia I have stayed. I didn't realise I had left my headphones in the room and received a call to let me know as I had already left they kindly offered to post my headphones to me that is what I call exceptional service going above and beyond. If your looking for somewhere to stay you can't go wrong with mecure.

You can't go wrong staying at the Mercure Woolcock street. Have been staying at this hotel for a few years and for many more to come.

Mercure Townsville is a great hotel, the team are always friendly and welcome you back each time. Bobbie in the restaurant is a super star, always great to see her smiling. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Easy parking, great pool, and excellent A/C in the rooms.

Dirty, dated and disgusting!

Filthy, dated and disgusting room with hand prints, dirt, dust and broke furniture. The aircon has filthy water marks running down the wall above child’s bed. It hasn’t seen a wall wipe or paint since the 80s. Disgusting state! Room wasn’t dusted, light fittings are yellow in filth, door is sticky and visibly dirty. You’d be better in a hostel!
