What a wonderful hotel. The third floor where the restaurant, gym and pools are, is very resort like and lovely. We had a twin standard room on the fifth floor. Gorgeous room with 2 of the most comfortable double beds we’ve ever slept in. The staff were amazing and the whole experience was a 10/10. THANKYOU for a great experience.

Cleanliness...impeccable. Hospitality..the best I had in Australia. Hotel facilities are great. Staff are available and welling to help. Management are available walking around to assist. Attention to little details is excellent Personalized experience..they extended the gym working hours just to accommodate us.

service is very bad 👎 😑, heated jacuzzi not working, waiting 20 minutes for jacuzzi to work because heated pool isn't allowed for kids. 11 and 13 year old boys had to swim in 5 degree pool in winter conditions. WORST HOTEL DON’T COME 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Furthermore, Myself and other managers are available on site to assist with any concerns that a guest may have during their stay at any touch point of the hotel. I do appreciate you sharing your feedback pertaining to the outdoor spa which was certainly out of order for repairs for one day this week and Maintance of our facilities is part of ensuring our guests are able to enjoy their use.. In regards to the heated pool, as advertised on our website and all guest communications, the indoor pool is part of a gymnasium which is a adults only area and hence to gain access one needs to be over the age of 18. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Disappointing to be advised a few days before our stay that hotel was under renovation but we decided to go ahead with our booking anyway. Easy to get to and parking at hotel was good. Lobby undergoing renovation which made hearing difficult and check in experience was not great and our staff member seemed inexperienced. We had to re attend reception later that evening to receive our check in benefit and to register our car, which was not completed initially. Room was nicely refreshed but lacked certain hotel amenities and housekeeping did not answer their phone. Room slightly unfinished with visible cables and unfinished plasterboard by side of bed. Bar staff seemed inexperienced as it took at least 15 mins to receive cocktail. Breakfast staff were great and the food was good. Check out was another experience altogether. Over charged for car parking, and staff seemed overwhelmed with things not working for them. Checkout was slow and painful.

I agree there are times when guest is unable to see this renovation information easily on 3rd party websites, and you would agree we do not control where and how much information gets placed. However, transparency is critical for us and we certainly do not shy away from sharing such critical information that enables a guest to make informed decision to proceed with a reservation. I am truly sorry to hear about your experience with the team, the hospitality industry does attract new staff members from other industries each day that we as senior leaders take time to train. Stayed here for 2 nights, great bed, great location, nice buffet breakfast unfortunately they're doing renovations, so it was noisy off and on all day while my partner was working and trying to do video calls from the room. Wish they had of told us this prior to us booking.
