The best Novotel property I’ve stayed at. Enjoyed the complimentary kayaking activity. Pool is massive. Service is superb. I booked a refurb executive king room, loved it! Also had a nice dinner at the restaurant, service is also outstanding, very friendly and alert staff. I cannot fault anything in this hotel. Property is massive and breathtaking. I’ll definitely be back next time! Well done guys! 👌🏼💕💯

An absolutely beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Our room was so gorgeous and overlooked the lagoon. There were so many activities to do for kids during the school holidays. We definitely want to go back! ♥️ Our daughter loved her stay and so did we. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Don’t be fooled by the “luxe look” or waste your hard earned money.

We had to book last minute accomodation due to our flights being cancelled. A positive I will give Novotel SC was that we were able to check in early by a couple of hours & the lady I spoke with was very accomodating, (we had a very tired baby & the weather was torrential so had a couple of hours before normal check in and no where to go) We got there and upon first glance it looks really luxe but don’t be fooled. We went to find our room, had terrible trouble because the numbers are all over the place. Another guest noticed we were struggling to find our room number and said “don’t worry it’s not you, This place is a maze, I’ve been here for 3 days and still get Lost, the numbers are all over the place it doesn’t make sense”.. As we were walking through I literally felt like I was walking through some kind of commission housing it was awful. We got to our room & it was so disappointing. I felt ick the moment I walked in. It was so outdated and dark & dingy. We asked for a portacot to be set up (extra $10) for one. It had a big metal bar that would have poked into my babies back & was all un even(not safe at all) they don’t use fitted sheets (an automatic SIDS risk) They did change the cot upon request which was a positive & apologised for the condition of the previous cot. About an hour after arrival we just had to get out of the room because I just couldn’t stand being in there I felt so yuck so we ventured to the restaurant. The couches looked so nice from a distance but they had stains and were absolutely disgusting. We went to breakfast the next morning & thought the buffet was included in the room price (That was the impression we got when reception explained to us about the buffet breakfast.) upon arrival we were told it is $35 per person. We of course paid it as we needed to eat. When we paid I got charged $105 for 2 people, I realised after I had tapped my card that I had been charged an extra $35. I said something to the lady and when I brought it to her attention she said “oh sh**t sorry” and had to get her manager to refund me, he said to her “gee thanks so much for that, that’s great, just what I need, thanks” (Very sarcastically.) All in front of us. I found the whole experience extremely unprofessional. The buffet breakfast was terrible & most definitely not worth $35. I could maybe see that it might be beneficial for families (that’s if children don’t get charged-but I’m unsure if they do or not) I am not one to write bad reviews & I guess I’m lucky I’ve never had to but I would hate to see any families waste their hard earned money on a place like this. What an awful experience. All I can say is I am so glad to finally be home but also disappointed that our hard earned money was spent there. Lesson learnt.

We are in the process of refurbishing the resort, our Executive Rooms have been fully completed and worth the upgrade for that new room feel. Our seating in the main area has recently been steam cleaned and the breakfast buffet refreshed with new menu items, cooking methods and display of dishes. We have also addressed your concerns of unprofessional behavior to ensure this doesn't happen again. Someone entered my room while I was engaged in private acts with my husband.

On 09/07/22 I was engaged in naked acts with my husband when a FIFO worker walked right in to my room. They had double booked us. We tried to have this resolved in the privacy of the room but no-one answered. I have since read numerous reviews which outline the same lack of customer communication. We were forced to the lobby to sort the issue out and they initially refused (for about 20 minutes) the use of a private room for discussions and once we finally were awarded the privacy of the adjoining conference room - we were told they did not want to use it because it was dressed (with table cloths).... But I wasn't, not in the room and not even fully in reception. Even worse, our key card was deactivated so my husband couldn't immediately retrieve me a shirt to wear. Resolution has been inadequate. There was a wedding on outside while this happened. Imagine if this happened to the newly weds.............. It is bad no matter who it happens to... But at a wedding destination? Something I never imagined.

This is the second or third time we've stayed at this location. Set in sprawling grounds the place is the product of a different time. Yes- it's a resort with all the trappings of something from twenty years ago. There was nothing wrong with the room- it was clean and well laid out, but it was a long walk from the main building. The carpark was also located a fair walk from the room, not normally a problem except it was pouring with rain during our stay. It was also confusing finding the correct carpark and our room- every wing of the resort looked the same. Cost was also a factor, this is not a cheap place to stay and I felt the price-point charged meant that this Novotel didn't represent value for money.
