In the middle of a recent trip to Seoul, my wife had to be hospitalized and have surgery due to a life threatening illness. We had to extend our stay there so that she could recover. This messed up all of our hotel and airline reservations, and was adding a lot of stress to an already stressful situation. Nam Seung-Min (Alex), one of the managers at Novotel Ambassador, Gangnam, sprung into action and coordinated with the reservations department to make the arrangements for our split-up, extended stay without any loss of room nights. Unlike the airline which was quick to hit us with cancellation fees. The rest of the staff were so wonderful during the rest of her convalescence. This type of staff response to problems is rare and the entire team at Novotel Ambassador should be proud.

It was not only our duty, but our pleasure to do everything in our power to take care of your wife and you and offer you both a comfortable stay. If you need to be in Gangnam this place is perfect. Friendly, attentive staff, comfortable rooms, a five minute walk to the underground network, and even less to Gangnam Food Street. And if taekwondo is your thing, the Kukkiwon is only a ten minute walk across the hill top.

The rooms are specifically not comfortable the AC is very poorly maintained at 15deg it is not cooling. The rooms have a smell of a stale cloth. We have booked three rooms all have different issues. One air conditioner two mini bar a basic water heating cattle is not provided in one and the hotel does not keep masks at public places but expects all to wear mask. Poor courtesy by staff and communication skills. As a Accor brand we expect an international standard which is clearly missing

I am sorry that your experience at our hotel did not match your expectations. The description you gave is far from the service we strive to provide. I already forwarded the air conditioning problem you mentioned to our engineering team. We have both manual and automatic air conditioning systems; the automatic system may not have been set to a low temperature when you stayed at our hotel. Concerning the missing water cattle and the poor courtesy of our staff, please be reassured that we will reinforce our training program in the Rooms and F&B departments to avoid similar problems in the future. Finally, I am surprised about your comment on the masks. We take the coronavirus situation very seriously, and all our employees must wear masks. We try to keep all of our guests in a safe environment. We will remind our team members to respect this rule and ensure that all the guests wear a mask inside. If you wish to discuss more in detail about your experience, do not hesitate to email me at the address below. The service-staff is very welcoming from the moment we exit the taxi to the hotel. Thanks Yongil and Jeanne! I was checked in with Yongil and was directed into my room within minuets. I was then met with Jeanne (Hospitality Director) who made sure our room had all the amenities and demands. All our requests we gave jeanne were sent into our room before immediately. Ive traveled many places in Korea and not that many can provide personal service like that to a foreigner like myself. Thanks Jeanne!
