Lovely hotel in the centre of Dresden

Stayed for two nights while on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is located in the centre of Dresden, 15min walk from the Old Town and with plenty of shops and restaurant around. The hotel car park is very small so we parked in the nearby underground garage which was €22 per night. The rooms are spacious and I enjoyed the view over the square and the fountain. Beds were comfy, everything was clean. The TV remote wasn't working but I onky noticed on the morning of check out so didn't bother addressing it. Breakfast was good! Lots of variety and very tasty. We also spent an evening in the bar, which was also very nice. Staff were also very friendly, polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again, I really enjoyed it.

DELUXE ROOM, 1 Queen Size Bed, view of old town, upper floors. For a hotel of this supposed quality I would have expected more attention to detail (see pictures). Reception – dangerous sockets, plugs and wires strewn across floor Bed side tables need sanding down and re-varnishing Bedroom and shower separated by glass screen with a translucent PLASTIC curtain which had to be pulled across to separate the areas. Why not use some form of proper curtain rather than a PLASTIC shower curtain IN the bedroom? Bathroom needs separate lighting for each of the shower/sink/toilet areas – if you get up in the night all three areas light up illuminating bedroom as well. Switch on one bed side light and again the whole room is illuminated. Only one very small bottle of body moisturiser. Bedroom carpet might have been fashionable once but now looks dated. Always thought Pullman brand was business types but this was overcrowded at breakfast with coah parties. What was very disturbing was I was asked to pay, after I had already pre-paid (conditon of booking) but I was able to quote card used, date and time of payment. But then I was told I had to pay Local/TouristTax (of which I am familiar with other bookings) - despite the print out I had saying "TAXES PAID" - the implication to me being that ALL taxes had been paid. The Receptionist said it was a common error and that they were often left having to explain the situation that on-line there is no mention of the additonal taxs to be paid on arrival. Now the things the “Manager” can reply to saying how pleased that I enjoyed some things… Yet another soft mattress but good duvet. Good storage in bathroom. Very good location for old part of Dresden town. Breakfast was good with a pleasant selection of hot and cold choices. Pleasant seating area in room offering great view through full length glass – although it’s like being in a shipping container, but with a view But overall I was VERY disappointed, it was VERY expensive for what it was. Premier Inns are cheaper and in the newly built ones, I would say better. Taking into consideration the problem of checking in and the lack of detail for a hotel of this supossed calibre, has put me off even trying another Pullman hotel in the future.

Nat N Families - TripAdvisor review

Absolutely one of the worst Accor hotels I've ever stayed in. Initially, we booked three rooms: one with a double bed and two with queens. However, at check-in, a lady named Emma mentioned that we booked the same 'queen' room for all three. Initially, I hadn't realized something was wrong, but I did intend to book rooms with different specifications for my sister and her husband, ensuring they had enough bed space. Since I was exhausted from the long travel from Berlin, I didn't check the booking in the app myself. Instead, I asked Emma if I had indeed booked as she said. Emma then stated that we booked two single rooms and one queen room, but she upgraded all of us to queen rooms. However, I knew I never booked a single room as they're usually too small. I checked the booking and discovered that I had indeed booked two queen rooms and paid a higher rate for the double. I spoke with Emma, insisting that I had paid a higher rate for it. Eventually, she placed my sister in the correct room we had booked, but she downplayed the price difference, stating it was only 5 euros. While this 5-euro discrepancy was an issue, her misleading attitude was unacceptable. I believe she should be held accountable by her manager, or at least through this candid review—the only negative one I've left in recent times. Emma's conduct was utterly disappointing and, dare I say, deceitful. She didn't just make an innocent mistake; she knowingly misled us about our bookings, attempting to pass off single rooms as the higher-paid double and downplaying the discrepancy as a mere 5 euros. Her misleading attitude and attempt to cover up the error were not only unprofessional but morally questionable. Such dishonesty in a service industry, where trust and transparency are paramount, is inexcusable. Additionally, there were issues with the keys for each room, requiring me to visit the front desk twice for corrections. Regarding the hotel itself, it was outdated, poorly designed, and the rooms were small and uncomfortable. There were no fridges, amenities, or anything up to the standard of a 4 or even 3-star hotel. Wifi not working without prior notice. And at check out, again another staff tried to hide another fault by excusing error of her colleague which is apparently not. In summary, it stands as the worst hotel experience in my recent travel history, not just because the properties but staff attitude and dishonestly whichh i started to feel that perhaps it's not just one but span over their staff body. I then strongly advise avoiding it at all costs.

We stayed in Room 515 last Sept 28, 2023 in this hotel. Very good location, has many restos, shopping mall & stores just nearby and full cover in shower area but tight room space and there was not enough room to open 2 luggages. We noticed visibly the hotel standard was lower than other hotels under the Pullman chain like Parklane in Hong Kong.
