First of all, the rooms are much smaller than in the photos, not well taken care of, they haven't changed our sheets since the 4 nights we stayed, really UNACCEPTABLE! one day no one came to clean the room! the only good thing is its location next to the station, otherwise bad! we paid for two espressos in the hand in a paper €12!! very expensive for what it offers, I would not recommend it!

Ok first it's a budget hotel and yes i get that but i expect it to be clean and to be made welcome.On our arrival good points we could check in earlier great. I paid upfront for bed and breakfast.Room not very clean to be fair and pillows like a bag of coal.Staff can be rude in reception a staff member just shouted at a customer while waiting to be seen due to his keycard not working.Is this how this hotel treats its customers but shouting at them,no wonder the man staying lost his cool at reception.Breakfast well i paid in advance but every-time i went for breakfast i was told no sorry you don't have it included.But every-time i said yes i do,and showed them my booking,which i booked on the ACCOR website it was included.And every-time they tried to cause a argument saying it was not, but what does my booking say its say with breakfast.So the person would disappear then come back and let us have breakfast.This is the first time at this ibis Amsterdam.but never again. and will be my last here i do not recommend this hotel.

Positives This IBIS hotel is in an excellent location. We arrived at the airport and used public transportation and walked a short distance to arrive. There is a grocery store just a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is in a great central location. The hotel has a bar and serves food. We did not try breakfast as there are many more affordable options. The view of the canal from our room was lovely. Negatives If you are staying one or two nights, you might find the room acceptable, but we stayed 6 nights and experienced multiple issues. Upon arrival I usually unpack; however, there is no place to store anything. For six nights I prefer not living out of a suitcase. The "closet" had three hangers for two people and some shelves. The only hooks are in the bathroom. In addition to clothes in the winter we have coats, hats, and gloves. Our second issue was power. I would imagine that most people need to charge devices. There was one outlet on one side of the bed and a broken extension cord (which was reported). There is no side table on one side of the bed. The bathroom appeared fairly clean but smelled terrible. The towels are very small, but we made it work. The front desk sent someone to refreshen our bathroom. When we returned from dinner, we found our room was left unlocked with the bolt holding it open. Fortunately, nothing had been stolen, but we were very upset about lack of security. They offered us two drink tickets which didn't make me feel more secure. The halls smelled of marijuana daily (I thought the hotel was non-smoking). People were noisy early in the morning and late at night. I asked housekeeping for a trash bag because the only trash can was tiny, and she said no. We woke to find that a pillow had come open, and there was foam everywhere (on us, in the bed, and all over the room). Read before you book: At almost every hotel we have stayed at there is a refrigerator and a kettle (sometimes microwave); there were none, but the manager said there were rooms at a higher price with those amenities. This was my fault for not reading carefully, but these amenities are common in most hotel rooms (which is why I expected them).

Beyond my expectation. I prepared for tiny rooms and standard service but what i got were really better experiences. I booked 2 rooms for 5 persons, rooms were small but more than enough and have everyting that we need. We stayed in the wing that needed to change to another elevator to reach our rooms. But elevator was fast, didnt remember we had to wait for more than 2 minutes. Staff were helpful, hotel was clean, modern, and location wise was great, next to amsterdam central. Walking distance to many famous spots. Trams just walking distance from hotel door. Budget n family friendly 😍

Terrible experience: room very small and without confort, poor amenities. Every day we had our room (662) cleaned up at 5pm even we left it at 10am. I asked at the reception and they told me the housekeepers were very busy to clean my room up early. I think this is an unprofessional and unpolite behaviour, every day I had to spent 3 hours to wait at the reception that they “concede” me the cleaning as it was a personal favour. If they are not well organized and too busy it’s not my fault. It doesn’t matter to me!
