The room was recently renovated. It was small but functional with a large TV. Very clean and just round the corner from the palace. Breakfast was continental but they serve scrambled eggs and cooked bacon although no toaster for some reason. We could not fault our experience. Parking was cheaper that paying 40 euros in the street and very secure. Great stay overall

The location is PERFECT. The breakfast is EXCELLENT. The beds are COMFORTABLE but the car parking is a total rip-off! We arrived at 6pm & parking was free from 7pm. The concierge charged us €18 for ONE HOUR! There are empty delegated spaces in the garage which should be FREE to patrons of the hotel.

If you have to go to Versailles, then you should choose this hotel, as it is well located, just in front of the Riva Gauche station and not too far away from Chateau Versailles.

The worst IBIS hotel I have ever been.

I have been many times in IBIS hotels. They are functional and minimalistic. However, this time the ibis Versailles Château has been the worst hotel I have ever been. I paid for the premium room and the room was small, the walls were broken in many parts, there was dirty in some of the walls and the smelling was awful. In addition, the water stream was not powerful enough to take a decent shower and the bath had low celling and therefore taking a shower was not easy. Breakfast was not good neither. I feel that I was cheated with the price for the premium room.

What it lacks in size, it makes up for in heat!

AVOID!! It's 4am & its too hot to sleep, I've never written a review on TripAdvisor before, but if I can save someone else from this, it's worth it. Location fantastic. So close to the Palace & a fab pizza restaurant next door. We mainly chose the IBIS as it advertised aircon...something you unfortunately don't get in older, more quirky hotels. "At least you know what you're getting with an IBIS" we'd thought... Tiny room, the tiny door should've given it away. You have to enter the room sideways to be able to shut the door. Its one-at-a-time-only operation & watch out of the sharp corners on the bed, husband clatters his shins every time! Thank goodness there's room under said bed for your case, as the 'wardrobe' is a 6" slot in the corner of the room. Husband, thinking out loud, pondered that maybe why the ceiling looks high is because it's further away from us than any of the walls are!?! This is where having a tiny room gets really tricky. A trip to Versaille was my 50th birthday present. There's been no sleep for 3 nights now. Yes, I'm hot at night anyway (happy 50th!) but it's 5000°C in this room, the window only opens a tiny sliver & it's way too sweaty to move, let alone hold hands with anyone else. I'm laid here staring at the massive, old looking, aircon unit, being hot & cross that Ill be too tired to enjoy Paris tomorrow. On the 1st night I was pretty rudely informed by reception that it wasn't hot until June....dear IBIS, please don't advertise aircon if its a seasonal offer. It's still 18°C outside at 4am, that's hot. There's not even a 'nice shower' to look forward to in the morning. Its pokey and the black grout needs cleaning. Brilliant not to have lots of little individual plastic bottles of toiletries, but the 'body/hair/hands' pump provided is like washing up liquid. It was Sunday today, so nowhere obvious open to buy some actual shampoo, but two days in & my hair is simultaneously dry & greasy, this stuff's like industrial paint stripper. Maybe they could use it to clean the grout? Giving this 2* because of the location, which as I said at the beginning, couldn't be better. Must try & get some sleep...
