This is a nice hotel and right opposite the station and the breakfast is excellent. However the room I was in was adequate but nowhere to put my case when not being used and I found the shower difficult to operate as I like to hold the shower close to my body and do not like to be "rained on" which this did if I turned the control too far one way. Also no colour codes on controls so hard to know which way for hot or cold and water washed onto the bathroom floor as no door on shower cubicle. This is the first time I have stayed in Mercure as otherwise I use Ibis Styles and they are much better.

The location is perfect, the staff is extremely friendly, and the rooms are new. It is just a short walk to the main attractions and in front of the train station. The breakfast is really good, but the breakfast room is too small. There was a long queue, and the breakfast room was full & noisy - it was slightly disappointing. Overall, it was a great weekend and I would stay at the hotel again.
