Great central hotel but not good if you have a car .The directions given by the hotel are not easy to follow.

Great hotel right in the city ,quiet but well placed and lovely staff.However it's a nightmare driving to it in a car and parking ,narrow streets and bollards which to need codes for to get there .If you have a car try another hotel.

This hotel was very nice. Location was great, right next to the cathedral and in walking distance to sights and restaurants in Rouen. Our suite had a king size bed and a sofabed that was OK but not too comfortable for our teenage son. The breakfast was the real high point - by far the best breakfast buffet of our stay in France, with lots of choices and local specialties from Normandy.

Our room was in an older section of the building (the outside was pans de bois) on the top floor and had a direct view of the Cathedral. Stunning! The elevator took us most of the way up but there were a few stairs to navigate. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee pot, clothes iron, all the things. The shower was excellent and the bathroom itself was very large. The bed was comfortable too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast here before we left. The hotel is central to everything and Rouen is fabulous. We wished we stayed there longer. The best adventure was parking in the parking garage. Prepare yourself! They give you a code to enter on a blocked-off roadway - the pole in the middle of the roadway goes down into the ground, and you drive over it onto what honestly looks like a sidewalk. You navigate through windy spaces like this, past people eating outdoors in restaurants and walking about, and then come to an underground parking garage. It's tight! If you have a large vehicle and/or are not a good driver, you're in trouble. It was an adventure for sure!!

This is a classic (slightly ageing) Mercure. Its pluses - location just so close to the Cathedral. Rooms comfortable without being stunning, although I wouldn't want to be staying in one in the peak of summer. They aren't air conditioned. The breakfast - fine - the staff - excellent and helpful. Our greatest problem was driving the car there through closed roads and then navigating a car park that was designed to accommodation CV2's not larger modern vehicles (and ours was comparatively small). Getting into the restricted area, as well as navigating the car park will require nerves of steel and a drink on arrival. Ignoring this issue - a very good hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights with friends for my birthday. Great location just round the corner from the cathedral so really convenient for sight seeing and eating. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Boiled egg cooking bath and the freshly prepared scrambled eggs were the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Bed was a bit too firm for me but that’s just my personal opinion.
