Air France put us up here because their delays caused us to miss our connection to Nice. The room as very spartan and there were no English speaking tv channels. The shuttle service was the most important feature and it wasn’t very good. It was very confusing where to meet the shuttle. We had to walk about 30 minutes to get near the shuttle area and then spent 10 minutes trying to find the actual pick-up spot. The shuttle that picked us was an old van and it as very confusing whether we had the right van. The shuttle bus that took us to the airport stopped at several hotels and took 15 minutes. We were flying out of Terminal 2F but they only drop off at 2D. We then had to walk 30 minutes to our gate. For a hotel specializing in airport transfers it’s ridiculous that they only make one stop. Had I know the above I would have paid for a hotel closer to the airport and a taxi.

For an advertised four star hotel, this Mercure leaves much to be desired. The room I stayed in looked terribly worn, the air conditioning did not work, there was no fridge (though there was a cabinet with sockets indicating where a working refridgerator once lived), and no coffee options included. This last point is perhaps the worst; what hotel does not provide guests with coffee (even the cheapest kind)? When I called reception to ask for coffee, I was told this was not possible and coffee wasn't available. If it wasn't for the location close to the airport, I'd highly recommend elsewhere. In fact, there are other options in the area that might make a better choice.

We stayed one night en route to Calais. The foyer area of the hotel looks very contemporary, however our room was dated and in need of redecorating. As others have said the rooms are stuffy and the air conditioning doesn't work properly. Customer service was very poor. There was no coffee in the room despite the presence of paper coffee cups with the words enjoy your coffee on them. At breakfast, we wanted some camembert and yoghurt and were inexplicably told by one of the staff we couldn't have any as they were not for our group. When I asked why I was told we should complain to our tour manager and ask them to pay more! I would avoid this hotel in future and choose somewhere where they care about their guests enjoying their stay.
