Walkable to Sydney attractions

We took the airport train to Central, then a tram for a few stops. We had to walk 3 blocks, uphill, which was hard with our suitcases. We arrived in time for happy hour, which indeed made me happy. The pizza and a glass of wine were a hit for this traveler. The room was very comfortable. There was a small refrigerator. This was the only hotel on our Australia trip where the clothes line over the tub actually worked. There was a clock radio on the tiny bedside table that had 2 USB ports, but they didn’t work very well. The room isn’t meant for someone working. There is no desk, just a small table with no nearby plug. Overall, a shortage of adequate outlets. There is a beautiful view of the harbor from the restaurant and bars. There are many outside restaurants a short walk over a bridge, You can also catch a ferry to many of the other wharfs along Sydney Harbor. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was a very substantial buffet. Something for all cultures.

Stayed here on 14/11/24. There were a large group of us all staying in various rooms. My adult daughter & I had two double beds in our room. We also booked a room (the same as ours) for two friends - one that flew in from Brisbane and another who flew in from Adelaide., There were various others from Darwin, the South Coast of NSW, The Hunter region and the USA, all staying here too. I believe 23 in total…. We are from the Central Coast. We also had on site parking which was great. Every room was spotless and well presented. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Every staff member we came into contact with was very polite and friendly. We all had breakfast there on 15/11 which was exceptional. I will stay with you again and will highly recommend The Novotel Darling Harbour.

I haven’t been here since pre Covid so thought I would stay as it was a great location. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The reason I picked Novotel was so I could go to the shopping centre right next to it and not have to walk over the long bridge to get something to eat. Majorly disappointed. They have knocked it down and lol like they are building apartments or more Accommodation of some sort. Tv only has free to air channels. Was hoping to watch a movie. The shower is in the bath. There are 3 little supermarkets across the road which was handy. Will I be back? At $420 a night - nope.
