Perfectly Located, Lacking Warmth and Flair

The hotel is very centrally located in the heart of The Hague and easy to reach. Parking should be avoided in the hotel; I’d recommend the Plein parking garage, which at around €30 per day is currently one of the cheaper options in the area. Check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel looks fresh and modern at first glance, but it has some clear weaknesses. Despite a room size of around 25 sqm, the rooms feel quite cramped. The windows are not soundproof, so you can clearly hear the busy pedestrian area outside. Water usage also seems heavily restricted – the water pressure is very low, which feels more like cost-cutting than comfort. It gets particularly disappointing in the fitness area: there is noticeable penny-pinching at the water dispenser, and even worse, the heating was turned off. With temperatures around freezing point, you basically need to keep your jacket on to avoid getting cold. In summer, I can imagine it feeling more like a sauna. Breakfast is okay, but very repetitive, with almost the same selection every day. Overall, the hotel lacks atmosphere and flair, which is a pity given its excellent location.

A fifteen minute walk from the Centraal station but also close to a tram line. The hotel is built inside 'The Passage ' shopping area and is a lovely hotel. We had an excellent room and Bas on check in really looked after us and our room was ready early. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and the bar had local beers and also a good range of European wine and other beverages. The Wifi was excellent and there were many English language TV stations. An excellent stay.

The location of Novotel Den Haag City Centre was (as the name suggests) centrally and conveniently located for sightseeing, visiting museums, shopping, and accessing transit (for day trips, commuting to different business locations, etc.). But it was the staff that made this stay exceptionally memorable. Everyone from the front desk to breakfast service to dinner/bar service were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and so many went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Thank you!

This was a great hotel stay. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. Very good location as well. The room was a good size with a pen tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely shower. The plugs by the bed were intermittent but that’s neatly every hotel. The gym was ok - running machine, elliptical and a bike. Lovely views Breakfast was a bit expensive (€24). Big thanks to the blond gentleman and the woman with cat’s eye makeup. Both incredible and helped me navigate the city

Had a very comfortable stay at Novotel Den Haag City Centre. I requested a room with a view and Karim from Guest Services really delivered! Thank you! We had the Executive room right above the Passage sign. Beautiful view of the busy City Centre streets, with the running trams. The hotel had the perfect location which was right beside the Passage, a historic shopping arcade with a beautiful glass roof. Binnenhof and Mauritshuis within walking distance as well. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Highly recommended!
