Mistakes from reception.. Coming back from beakfast at 11hr and room not made. Tables in restaurant during breakfast not clean.. Infrastructure needs renovation.. Asked for face painting in kid's club, reply was 'Not on agenda' Sofa bed in family room not comfortable at all, especially when you pay for a 5* hotel..

Not been welcomed as an Accor member. I booked my trip through the App. The receptionist didn’t even know I was an Accor member. The room was average. The mattress was worn out. Not all towels were replaced. Hand towels were missing most of the day. The bathtub was so sticky that that you had the feeling to be glued.

Dear Management, I hope this message finds you well. My partner and I are currently staying at the Sofitel Flic en Flac for the third time, and we would like to provide feedback regarding our experience so far. We arrived today after a long journey and were the only guests at check-in, yet the process took over an hour. Given that we’ve stayed at the hotel before, there were no new details to provide, so it was surprising that we were still required to fill out the registration form. Aswell no Information regarding clothing was given. After check-in, we were happy to find that our room was beautiful and newly renovated – the "Manifique" room is a definite improvement compared to our last stay, where we experienced issues with a leaking air conditioner and a mouldy smell. We are pleased to see the hotel’s renovations have addressed these problems. However, we encountered an issue tonight at dinner when we were refused entry to the main restaurant. I was informed that I could not dine there because I was wearing shorts down to the knees. Despite the fact that the travel agency’s description of the restaurant only mentioned "appropriate clothing" without further clarification. On our last visit in 2019, we were able to dine in the same restaurant while wearing shorts, so I did not anticipate any issue this time. I understand that restaurants may have dress codes, but this is an open-air venue with temperatures close to 30°C, and I was surprised by the strict enforcement of this policy. We also recently stayed at another well-known five-star property in Mauritius, which did not impose such a dress code. If the Sofitel has a more stringent policy in place, I believe it would be helpful to clearly communicate this to guests in advance, especially those returning to the property who may not be aware of any changes. While we appreciate that appropriate attire should be required in fine dining settings, we also believe that the hotel management should balance this with the desire for guests to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable holiday. Given the overall experience, we feel that there needs to be a clearer distinction between "relaxed" dress code standards and those for more formal venues, as well as better communication of these standards. We’ve enjoyed staying at Sofitel Flic en Flac in the past, and we love the location. However, we would appreciate it if the management could take into account the importance of communication and guest comfort when implementing hotel policies. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback. We look forward to hearing from you and hope that our concerns can be addressed.

Your Loyalty Card conditions clearly stipulates that booking a stay at an Accor hotel through a travel agency does not allow you to earn credit for your nights stayed and/or consumption.
